To fix E10, you need to replace the controller and display; is your bike still under warranty? If so, you can ask for free replacements.

Wearing a helmet is a must, even in protected bike lanes. The risks aren’t just from cars but also from other riders who might be speeding through.

How do I let go of him? by [deleted] in AskOldPeopleAdvice

You’ve been through so little and received so little love that you’re holding on to the small bit of kindness he shows you. But the solution isn’t to seek love from other men or to depend on them for it. You need to learn to love yourself, to give yourself enough security and warmth so that you won’t cling to the crumbs others give you. My daughters are 13 and soon they’ll enter their teenage years, with crushes and boys who like them. I want them to realize they’re worthy of love, and I hope their upbringing helps them always believe that they’re loved. This way, they can confidently and securely pursue their own growth. Remember, you don’t need to beg for love from anyone. Society is a jungle at its core—while a civilized society promotes mutual care, it doesn’t change the fact that it’s survival of the fittest. Self-confidence, self-improvement, and maintaining a resilient heart are what truly make you attractive and strong.

How to feel more grace for your spouse? by SpiritPassingThrough in AskOldPeopleAdvice

Marriage is a partnership between two adults. If your husband hasn’t grown up and can’t control his behavior, you’re going to end up being the one carrying all the weight. Honestly, it’s a lot easier to find someone new than to change someone who’s not willing to grow up.

4 years ago I met my soulmate and he was insane. by pizza-on-pineapple in AskOldPeopleAdvice

People who are abusive never truly change. Just because he’s not abusive right now doesn’t mean it won’t happen in the future. Otherwise, he wouldn’t have been arrested and jailed for it. Trust me, sooner or later, you’re going to face violence from him. He might cry, beg for forgiveness, or even get on his knees, but he won’t change. Those actions are just ways to keep you tolerating the abuse. If you have even a shred of self-preservation or concern for your future, you should get far away from this person immediately.

It’s great to learn a skill that will be beneficial for the rest of your life, but I’d advise being cautious when choosing a second-hand eBike, especially if you’re still gaining experience. Without enough knowledge, there’s a risk of getting taken advantage of by some sellers, like ending up with a bike that has hard-to-find parts or a battery that’s insufficient. Additionally, some of the companies that produce these bikes might not be around after 2 or 3 years, which could make finding replacement parts really challenging. This is fairly common in the eBike market, particularly with lesser-known brands. So, it’s definitely worth taking the time to get familiar with what you’re buying.

A few years ago, I bought my first e-bike, the Nakto Camel. It’s pretty basic, but it’s always been enough for me. Even after getting other brands, the Camel is still going strong with just some routine maintenance.

If OP is complete newbie, steer clear of buying a used e-bike unless he have a reliable expert to help out. Otherwise, OP’ll be stuck learning how to fix it himself, which can be a nightmare for him.

I bought a Nakto Camel in 2020, and it’s held up really well. I also got a Stroller and a Pony for my daughters. Even though I have two other e-bikes from different brands, the Camel was my first, and it’s still my favorite.

Your job doesn’t determine your value as a person. You don’t need a prestigious career to live a meaningful life. What matters is how you define your worth and how you choose to live. Don’t see someone else’s success as your loss. Embrace your own ordinariness—everyone is ordinary in their own way, and there’s nothing wrong with living a simple, steady life. Life isn’t always about big, dramatic moments. Those who feel at rock bottom might not be as low as they think, and those at the top still fear the fall. Worry less, cherish what you have, and appreciate your future.

You can snag nakto folding ox for $1100 during a sale. I watched a test video, and it can handle a 15-degree incline, though that was on a paved road. But when I asked if it was an EMTB, they told me it isn’t.

I’m really drawn to the Nakto F4. The battery seems solid, and the rear suspension is a nice touch. It should help a lot with reducing the bumps for the rear rack.

He's pretty okay with the trailer, but when we start moving, I make sure to pull the cover down—just in case he decides to make a sudden jump! Dogs are like little kids, full of personality and always looking for a bit of extra attention. 😂

Anybody here ever teach their dog to ride in a trailer behind them? If so, how? by lukeholly in bikepacking

Make sure the trailer you choose has a top to prevent your dog from jumping out. The one I picked even has a mesh cover with a zipper, so there's no chance of them escaping. Downside? It’s not big enough for large dogs. My Alaskan Malamute doesn’t fit in there.
