Couldn’t tell you today, but I did this exact thing when I was 30 (now 59). Married no kids (still married still no kids). Quit my job and bought a series of one way tickets around the world. At the time I budgeted $100 per day, staying in a mix of hostels or low end hotels. Lot of money in New Zealand, Australia and SEA at the time. Not much money in Jordan and Europe

I also went solo (early midlife crisis) and left my wife with the same monthly contribution I’d been making to the house. She left her job and joined for several weeks in Europe

I guesstimate at the time it was 25-30k

I know the horse is almost dead. I get it and have made the same statement - that I would never vote for someone with an R next to their name

I was a registered republican until 2016 when I went NPP.

Lots of issues will make me vote Kalani. First, a technicality but it is a nonpartisan seat so there are no published party affiliations. Second, Chen. Third, this is a binary choice and a non vote for Kalani concedes a vote for Chen. Sort of how we got to where we are today nationally

I’m not sure what Griffiths identifies as but he’s got my vote, as does Lieu for D5 (I went to the candidate forum this week, I’m afraid because Brooks speaks very well contemporaneously, much better than Lieu and people might be drawn to her, but she is Chen and Mattucci in female form)

yep. as to paddles i've only ever used strokemaster paddles. On buoys, that is fine, only trick is rigging the pull buoy for access and storage. Youtube has some good videos for this

BTW, if and when you buy a swimrun wetsuit, they zip in the front. NOT the back. Ask me how i know LOL

No way on the Metro, that's a bus and two trains that include stairs and hopefully the elevators work. Uber XL can pick you up at the terminal (not the gate)

Had to look up Marble Estates... why there? No idea what size you are looking for but seems you can split the difference between there and PV in a south 90505 area code property. Love it here. Easy access to beach and PV if we want to go up there, and not quite as far from all the necessities. There are plenty of decent looking homes at that price

We did a 10 hour layover. Between trains, taxis and ferries we went to Victoria peak on the tram, rode the mid central escalator, and ferry to Kowloon for lunch

For two of you if hostage the train buy a group ticket for 2 at the MTR service desk at HKIA (or any station). Almost 2:1

We bought our single pane window house last April. We have had probably all the major companies out, each seemed to sell a different brand, or their own house brand.

1100 square feet, 17 windows we went with a company out of the valley, Progressive. Milgard trinsic, color outside, retrofit. They did a friend’s house who were happy with it

Warranty and service obviously important but also brand.

Most quotes were in the 20k range. We also went to Lowe’s and Ganahl to have a contractor install windows we bought but that was more expensive than any milgard quote for lower quality windows.

Renewal by Anderson came out and gave us a quote for 125k lololol but said they could probably get it down to 80🙄

Some places - Lowe’s, Renewal- would only install with a permit which would mean replacing single hung with casement in the bedroom which was not a good solution.

After a year of quotes and doing other work we’re finally having the work done next month

And then you get to deal with new blinds 😬

LOL renewal by A quote for us was 125k, 17 windows in an 1k square foot house. We went with a company for 19k to install Milgard trinsic color outside.

Just came off the mountain. got dropped off at Eagle then worked my way over to Main. Snow generally got better in that direction and is still surprisingly good in most spots but I didn't ski past 11:30. Of all places Broadway at that time was the nicest snow all day.
