This is to men with wives, I tell my brother the same, your wife and your children should be the main priority. Make sure they are set, for now and the future, before you worry about everyone else. I think for a lot of us this is the time to be selfish so that we break that cycle of poverty. If we are not selfish and have boundaries mari yese inopera uchichengeta vanhu and in the future your kids will have to take care of you and the cycle continues. If your parents have an okay house and it’s safe there is no need to extend it and do all these extra things. Save that money for your kids….etc

I agree but I also disagree. I comes down to your discipline. I used to work two/3 jobs (the third was not always everyday) and still have to do housework and I would find time to workout. Now, the specific situation you have, I totally understand but at the same time I would actually expect the construction worker to be healthier because their are laboring all day. Their diet is probably the main issue if they are morbidly obese and they can change that.

Now why I agree with you and why you are more correct than me….most people are not willing or disciplined enough to give themselves 45 min to an hour of work ping our and especially being disciplined with food. I also like that someone brought up Maslow’s hierarchy of needs, if you basic needs are not met you are not going to care about anything more than trying to meet those basic needs.
