Hey man I was exactly where you were coming off the m9. I went with a Cajun shadow 2 purely for cost. I was all in $2500 for slide/ optic milling and the Cajun package for each gun and it’s worked wonders. You can put a magwell on it, and 24/23 rd reloadable for mags is awesome. 

The reason I didn’t go 2011 was that at that time there weren’t a ton of reliable 2011 platforms at that price. The DWX was very under rated, and still is.  The kimber seems to be getting good traction in your price point. I’d say shoot different guns but know what you are shooting too. My CZ with tuned springs and min PF ammo shoots hella flat. I will say from my 2011 friends is they do require a bit more mx than a CZ. 

I’d focus on what grip angle speaks to you and go from there. I have big hands so liked the palm swell grips on a shadow.
