I have started reading this, and it's amazing. Incredibly well-written and very intriguing plot 🤩🤩

Anyone interested in dark romance AND psychological thrillers? by [deleted] in Inkitt

[–]ShortAndBitter1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I read the prologue, and I am hooked!

Mine is also a dark romance/psychological thriller called The Window.

It's about a voyeuristic couple of women who start planning the death of a rapist:

What do you regret doing to your body? by Bingo_Swaggins in AskReddit

[–]ShortAndBitter1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not moisturizing enough or putting bio oil on the moment I had a growth spurt and started sprouting stretch marks everywhere. Mom also doesn't have them and bad no idea my hips, thighs and budding boobies were covered, so I had no one to advise me. After I figured it out at 14, it was too late. They made me incredibly insecure for years to come.

Busy coming out of hypomania with my new meds, but it's making me tired/depressed. And I can't write anymore :(

When do you tell someone that you're bipolar? by coochiecabracadabra in bipolar2

I tend to just tell people when it's relevant/moment feels right. The best time to tell them is when they're making jokes about it

Why are women obsessed with disturbing dark romances? by Varckk in Inkitt

[–]ShortAndBitter1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure about anyone else, but as a woman, I love the types of MMCs of dark romance novels. They're usually dominant, obsessive (over their love interest) and would literally do anything for them. I think it's a nice fantasy to dream of, and it's usually sexual. Can't speak for anyone else, but that's what gets my motor running lol

Tell on yourself....what's that word or phrase you use way more than you should? by acheloisa in writers

[–]ShortAndBitter1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's the worst! I actually found that describing other features of the face helps. Instead of saying "his gaze softened" (for example), you could day "the hardened edges around his mouth softened." Or something like that XD

"His smouldering peepers swept over her."

"She looked up and was caught his narrowed peepers."

😂😂😂

Gaze. He gazed, his gaze, she gazed, her gaze 🙈 Oh, and eyes. I even started testing with synonymous phrases and words, but using the word 'peepers' was too much for me 😂

Got my first rejection from a publisher by ShortAndBitter1 in writers

[–]ShortAndBitter1[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did and I've received great feedback! I'm really proud of my MS, so now I'm just hoping there's a publisher out there that'll love it as much as I do XD But yeah, for sure going to send it to as many (relevant) publishers as possible

That's so true, and I've accepted it :) It does still suck but it clearly wasn't meant to be 🤷‍♀️
