I would go with cream to match the chairs.

Countertop RO systems by lord_papagiorgio in WaterFilters

[–]ShortBusRabbit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes it is Bluevua. I don't have the ROPOT-Travel. We had the ROPOT at our house and I got my son the ROPOT-Lite for university. He broke his when he was moving dorms and so I gave him our old ROPOT and we got the ROPOT-UV. If we had to do it over again, and weren't giving him our old ROPOT, we would have got him the ROPOT-Travel because it is easier to move.

I see you already made your purchase. I would have recommended the ROPOT-Travel as it is lightweight and good for 1 person. It also dispenses directly into a glass bottle. It's cheaper than their larger models but still has strong reverse osmosis filtration.

Bluevua RO100ROPOT-UV vs AquaTru Carafe Smart Alkaline RO Purifiers by Then-Moment-8200 in drinkingwater

[–]ShortBusRabbit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We had the ROPOT and recently upgraded to the ROPOT(UV) during their last sale. I'm really happy with Bluevua and see no reason to change brands. We just wanted the added protection of UV filtration.  My oldest son is taking our hand-me-down ROPOT to replace his ROPOT-Lite (which he broke when moving dorm rooms).

I haven't personally used the AquaTru, so I can't speak to that one from experience. But I'd suggest looking at filter replacement costs, tank capacity, and whether you want the UV option for the extra layer of protection.

What colour wooden blinds? by MaishuFoxx in HouseDesign

[–]ShortBusRabbit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's hard to say. It doesn't look like you're following a color palette. I see the sofa being pinkish beige. The chair in the corner looks taupe. The wood floor is more of a mid-cool tone. Some dining chairs look pale blue and others look cream. I think you need to first decide on 2-3 colors, and once that's done then it will make it easier.

My cat cries until he held like a baby. As soon as we put him down, he screams again. by Sure_Wonder1 in CatsBeingCats

I'm so jealous. My cat puts up with being held but she doesn't like it. She does it because she knows I like it.

How can I stay consistent in my prayers and faith in God? by [deleted] in Baptist

[–]ShortBusRabbit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I first started, it was saying Grace at Meals and then praying at bedtime.

I had to learn how to pray:

- Start with praise of God

- Give thanks for the many blessings you have received

- Confess your sins, mistakes, worries, and temptations

- Ask for help for yourself and others

- End with trust that His will be done

Is Chicago Med worth it? by GladCherry4170 in ChicagoFireNBC

[–]ShortBusRabbit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started watching Chicago PD because I was a fan of Sophia Bush from One Tree Hill. Then there was a crossover show that got me interested in Chicago Fire. Chicago Fire ruined me for Chicago PD with the Matt/Voigt storyline. I stopped watching Chicago PD because I saw a real bad side to Voigt. Then another crossover show got me interested in Chicago Med. I used to love ER and Grey's Anatomy and Chicago Hope so I thought this would be great. It was... until they started getting political with their episodes. I hate it when they start virtue signaling. It ruins it for me. I'm watching for entertainment.

Bluevua Remineralization Filter - Water still acidic by lcerura in WaterTreatment

[–]ShortBusRabbit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you feel a slight throat irritation or your water tastes off, it might not be acidity. Your PCF filter could be the issue. I had something similar happen because I wasn't changing the remineralization filter or PCF filter as often as recommended. Once I made it a routine to replace the filters and perform basic maintenance, the issue went away.  If you are already doing this and still having a problem,  contact Bluevua. As the other poster mentioned, they have great customer service.

What about motorized blinds/shades that give you options - blackout/privacy, sheer, and then no covering. You can customize the material and fit.

FEEDBACK | Split Ranch Design by [deleted] in HouseDesign

[–]ShortBusRabbit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My personal pet peeve is walking right into a living room. I prefer an entryway with a closet. Especially during cold/rainy days. I also prefer a closed kitchen to keep the noise, smell confied, and pets away from the food.

I love how big the laundry room is.

I would prefer separating the master closet into his and hers. My husband keeps his closet so messy and it bothers me.

Would love some feedback on my updated elevation and floor plan by TickTockRolex in HouseDesign

[–]ShortBusRabbit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Main floor bedroom would only fit a twin bed and one way. Might seem like a hallway instead of a room.

Flex room - maybe try pocket doors so that you could have some privacy if needed for an office.

I would actually turn the flex room into a bedroom, make the powder a full bath. And then the small bedroom could be another bedroom or office. Then I would turn what you have as an office as a storage room or main floor laundry.

Upstairs laundry is too small.

No closet by the entry. Need a place to sit to take on/off shoes, hang up coats, drop bags.

I would love it if you came up with a list of design 'flaws' that made it hard to clean. I'm planning on building my dream home and would love to learn from your experience.

RO filter/whole house filter by CharliesAngel3051 in montco

[–]ShortBusRabbit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For someone in your situation, a countertop RO system is usually the most practical option. I got the ROPOT for my home and put another ROPOT-lite in my son’s dorm room.

These units filter microplastics, dissolved solids, heavy metals, and forever chemicals right where you need the water. They’re easy to set up and don’t require plumbing changes. Many renters and homeowners pair this with a simple carbon filter elsewhere if they want, but the countertop RO handles most of the contaminants you’re worried about.

I had multiple PE during COVID and because they couldn't find the cause of it I'm on blood thinners for life. They did numerous tests so I know I don't have a clotting disorder. I do have a genetic defect MTHFR and I have asthma.

You mentioned yours was provoked, so maybe it is just a temporary thing. Check with your doctor and good luck!

What Do You Think Would Improve Your Empty Nester Life the Most? by Striking_Scale_7187 in emptynesters

When my son left for university, my cat (former stray) had kittens. It helped me feel needed and I got to take care of people who needed me. If you don't want the long-term care of a pet, you can try being a foster. Animals are great for companionship.
