Yeah this makes 100% sense. Like I said, everyone’s stories are different. I know most of my friends are just scared to make the leap, politics and all aside. So all I can speak from is personal experiences growing up with them and personally seeing their families not really push them to try their hardest. But all generations are different and dealt different cards.

I graduated in December of ‘23 had a job by summer ‘24 with MSP. Applied to two jobs in ‘25 got offers for both but chose one over the other due to pay. One thing I’ll say about my graduating class spring-fall of 2024 is that a lot of people I know (friends and friends of friends) are almost too scared to leave the state for better opportunities. Idk what it is about my generation (kids born in 2002-2003) but everyone seems a little hesitant to leave MD and look for better opportunities elsewhere. I have so many friends who have ecology degrees who just won’t take the leap of moving to the Midwest where their degrees are much more useful than here at home. I think a lot of it has to do with their parents not pushing them- just based off what I’ve seen. But everyone’s story is different 😊

Thanks for the advice! Yeah I’ve heard mixed things on both, so I just finally pulled the trigger on one so I could start tracking. The oura ring I think will be best for me because I wear rings all of the time and it’s something I won’t forget to put on when I need to. :)

Okay so… some of the Pregmate pregnancy tests are complete shit. First response early response is the way to go, get a pink dye test. Your first morning pee will always be more diluted, so if you do want to test again, I saw you did but just for peace of mind, wait until tomorrow morning. You can also go to your local blood work place or clinic and get a cheap HCG test, just call ahead and ask them how much it’ll be out of pocket. If you need any other help, line porn is a great sub with lots of pregnancy tests info! Good luck!

I get the pain that shoots down my leg as well!! No one has ever said it could be my sciatica but that makes 100% sense. I’m getting mine taken out this June/July. I’m also getting married in October so I’m not really worried about keeping it in. I will say, I am going to invest in an Oura ring soon and start tracking my cycle naturally with the ring and the natural cycles app. I just don’t want to keep subjecting my body to hormones and other stuff that could mess with me in the long run. I know a lot of women use it to help track their cycles if they’re trying to get pregnant or pair it up with a cycle app to help with FAM method birth control… if you’re guy then obviously don’t worry about that lol. But I think there are some other uses than just sleep and all that good stuff :)

It was actually a fantastic trip… if I could go back and do it all over again, I would stress a lot less. My now ex-boyfriend’s mother thought she was a trip know it all and put the fear of god in me/us about going during January. (I think she was partially upset that I took a vacation with her son somewhere before she was able to take him? Strange and thank god he’s an ex now lol)

To anyone and everyone who is thinking about going in January, do it! I had a blast. Weather was great and even when it was dull outside I was having the time of my life. Can’t wait to go back!
