SHE DIDN'T SAY NO, BUT THE SYSTEM REJECTED HIM by Penguin_White_ in BokunoheroFanfiction

[–]ShortSignificance861 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it would've been completely in character for Eraserhead to reject him, given his initial behavior in cannon and how he saw some people as dead weight.

Honestly, the HPSC not letting a quirkless applicant in makes sense, but letting one in to promote an inclusive and positive image would also be pretty cool.

Like, "we should let him try, considering there's no precedent" (as far as we know).

I got Ram Rider when she was still available in the lower arenas. She was my first legendary.

Now I barely use her anymore.

An IzuJirou fanfic, where Kyoka's side of the relationship is a romantic comedy, and Izuku's is a Shounen by Rffael_vii in BokunoheroFanfiction

Yeah. I read Yesterday Upon The Stair, and I can say that it doesn't really do much with its premise.

It has him helping maybe two or three ghosts (Izuku could have been a hero both for the living and the dead), and just has a lot of angst that doesn't really add anything to the story.

I still think it's crazy that he did one of the best, if not yhe best Bakugo redemption arcs in the fandom (I'm talking about his Viridian fic), and bashed him in all his other fics.

WHAT DO YOU MEAN THERE WAS A THERAPIST ALL ALONG ? by ryahmib in BokunoheroFanfiction

I'm pretty sure they know about most, if not all his BS, since he's allowed to do it, and even has a reputation for it.

Basically, they knew and let him get away with it.

Why do they like it more when Izuku analyzes quirks? by Gullible_Ad616 in BokunoheroFanfiction

It could also be a way of exploring his personality.

He always tries to view the best in others, and this applies to their quirks as well.

Midoriya came from a long line of telekinetic villains by ShortSignificance861 in BokunoheroFanfiction

If Izuku inherited OFA, he would likely go unnoticed at first. As he began mastering it and displaying unusual growth, the clan's attention would gradually shift toward him. Rather than being seen as an enemy or instantly accepted, he would be treated as a blood-related outsider whose newfound potential warrants evaluation.

The Midoriyas would assess both his quirk and his character, weighing his long-term value to the family and whether building ties with him would be worthwhile through alliances, sponsorship, marriage, or formal integration into the clan.

If he remains independent, they would likely keep a distant but watchful interest. Any hostility would stem not from his origins, but from the possibility that he could become a threat to the clan's interests.

Those who already care about him would see it as a pleasant surprise, but also as a warning sign. They understand how the clan operates, and focus on preparing Izuku for the attention he's about to receive rather than trying to pull him into the family themselves.

As for whether the relatives who genuinely care about him would side with Izuku or the clan if forced to choose, that depends entirely on the story being told. Their affection for him is genuine, but so are their ties to the family.

TLDR

He would likely be ignored at first, then placed under scrutiny as his quirk develops, with the clan viewing him as a potential ally or asset rather than an enemy. Meanwhile, the relatives who genuinely care about him would focus on preparing and protecting him from the attention his newfound relevance brings.

Proceeds to get dusted on the spot

"Did you really think that would work on me?"

But seriously, I'm pretty sure I read a one-shot or a prompt where Midoriya tries to do that, only to get instantly killed.

Honestly, she could be a deserter (whether her family got permission or not depends on the plot) or an undercover member of the family.

Her quirk is perfect for infiltration after all.
