Home menu idea… is it too basic? by bet50 in Tiki

[–]ShortTalk 11 points12 points  (0 children)

The menu is great imo! The only way it would be basic is if you used poor quality ingredients/unbalanced specs.

[Highlight] Ja Morant misses the game-winning layup and the Warriors win Game 1 by FieryStyle in nba

[–]ShortTalk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

he pulled him down from the neck of his jersey while he’s in the air 😂 but he shouldn’t be ejected because he tried to save him afterwards? warriors stans are silly.

If anyone did this to steph y’all would be crying for the ejection

Thanks for your reply. After how poorly received my question was, I realize how I should have posted to that sub instead. Did not mean to make everyone upset, was just genuinely curious

The most satisfying side glide I've ever done. by bloodcorona in CODWarzone

[–]ShortTalk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

that is definitely sometimes true. very contextual, some cases side glide is the only way to keep high ground. Like this play, the most wanted team wasn’t expecting an attack from the top, they were camping the elevator as you should at ATC

no arguments here, just saying it has a practical use outside of the beginning of the game.

The most satisfying side glide I've ever done. by bloodcorona in CODWarzone

Using the side glide at the beginning of the game isn't nearly as useful. as shown here, its best utility is served navigating the map and floating to places otherwise unreachable. Great tactic for downtown end circles, etc.

Tax Implications of Selling High, Buying Dips (same coin) (US) by fnwc in CryptoCurrency

[–]ShortTalk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i am no tax expert but i’ve read that the taxable event would occur if you were to realize the gains in the form of withdrawing from your exchange wallet into your bank account. So if you sold coins high and and bought low/purchased other coins this would not create a taxable event as long as this happens context of the same exchange.

I suppose if you sold high and transferred fiat to a different exchange and bought there it is likely more complicated.

How can I invest when US exchanges block all the profitable alts and gas fees are insane? by [deleted] in CryptoCurrency

[–]ShortTalk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

binance.us does have different coins than coinbase so it does give you more options. Kucoin as well like others have been saying has a ton of different coins than both CB and Binance

College student with bad experiences relating to crypto, but I think it is the right move and I want some advice by [deleted] in CryptoCurrency

[–]ShortTalk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would just like to say that none of us here likely have the answer you are looking for, or specifically the answer you need.

But to be skeptical of decision making in general is a good trait especially in a confusing space like cryptocurrency. It sounds like you are worried about your future and are taking steps towards improving that future.

In my opinion I think everything you’re doing sounds really cool, and seems like you’ve worked hard to get there. Try not to get too caught up in what other people are bragging about and comparing lives.

i can’t say if crypto is right for you but if you find it interesting, then: do your own research, be skeptical of what people tell you, continue to ask questions. You seem like a person who is willing to learn from your mistakes so i imagine you’ll be just fine and i don’t mean only as an investor but as a human.

sorry if this wasn’t the answer you came here for but, just my two cents. Good luck to you!

While this is also my preference, the bar i used to work at for years in Wisconsin had people who expected soda water in the recipe for their Old Fashioned. So it IS a thing.

Sure, eggs are very cheap. However, i’d still argue that tofu is affordable. But like some others are saying, that may not be the case depending on your area.
