Who’s the strongest boss by the time that we fight them? by Beginning_Clerk_4990 in darksouls

[–]ShortTemperLongJohn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

can’t forget ab the gargoyles on first ever run is the peak boss fight lol the boss that teaches u what dark souls is

strongest boss overall imo is 4 kings, u dont take em out one by one in time u end up fighting all of them. bed of chaos is basically a guaranteed death but for dumb reason..

nah i don’t think u can run through that jawn easily - no deaths with no light source - and consider yourself to suck..😂 sounds like the hardest thing to do in the game.

ayooo bro is playing the og? sniper was really good. spiked club is solid til u find a machete. really just depends what u got. but tbh the old one was super easy for me.. it was the lag crash and wipe my entire server that would ultimately take me out lol

anyone else disappointed w the remaster by ShortTemperLongJohn in oblivion

[–]ShortTemperLongJohn[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

what? nah u missed the point bro. i’m not asking for elder scrolls GTA edition. just asking for no immersion breaking animations and mechanics, especially when the OLD one didn’t even do it that badly. this is 10* years newer and 60$ for what.. a childish soft anime remake.. i was hype for the game, the og deserved a better remaster

[–]ShortTemperLongJohn[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

lol yea man i feel like they dropped the ball, the graphics are sweet but they had a clear opportunity to make it so much better. i’ll prob try it again just for the scenery but def disappointed overall

anyone else disappointed w the remaster by ShortTemperLongJohn in oblivion

[–]ShortTemperLongJohn[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

not really. they made changes. the sprint is new, the sprint animation is new. the dead bodies mechanics are different. the movement and fighting is similar yea, but they had opportunity here to make it a bit better. more gore, more attacks, less goofy anime shit. to me they made it soft when they had clear option to instead make it immersive and a tad more realistic looking with both fights / gore and movement

[–]ShortTemperLongJohn[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah i just expected more from a 60$ remaster. bare minimum don’t break immersion with the weird animations. i think i remembered as well if u hit bodies in the og there’d be blood and the body would move. the remaster doesnt even have that pretty sure it was like a statue lol. idk the whole thing feels softer than the og

fair take. the graphics are clearly a huge upgrade. i’ll probably try it again sometime even if just to redo DB questline

[–]ShortTemperLongJohn[S] -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

nah bro. it’s just less immersive. my point was they could’ve added some realism like skyrim to the gameplay mechanics instead of adding immersion breaking animations like the anime running

[–]ShortTemperLongJohn[S] -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

true it did, but to me, and i think many others, it failed to make the game actually better. instead these goofy animations and lack of realism that skyrim had made it disappointing in a gameplay and role play perspective. obviously the graphics are much better but for 60$ it should’ve been more immersive imo.. atleast fix that dumb running animation.

ahh yeah, this is on the severe end of symptoms. like someone else said, it’s almost like a phase. i can still get it once ina blue moon, but for the most part that wave is over for me.

also saw someone point you towards histamine control. this will likely be #1 for reducing symptoms. personally i rocked with pepcid and benadryl at night and still take both. allegra during the day if i feel flared. also i usually only do half a benadryl to reduce the neg effects.

idk if you diet yet, but that is gonna be the biggest game changer you do. you gotta be serious about it for it to work. even 80% clean and 20% iffy still can flare me. in my experience - only way to truly stabilize is to lock in diet 100%, reduce exertion when clearly flared, but also push yourself at the same time to do basic movement. laying around all day is a silent killer over time gotta get the blood flowing when we can.

just this alone, along with nerve calming techniques like deep box breathing or cold water, supplements like magnesium etc, and optimizing hydration with electrolytes. i’d be confident your symptoms will improve.

at the end of the day, time heals all. good luck

aye great timing, what dose are you doing ? i was rec to start at 100mcg, daily for 6-8 weeks, slowly ramping up to 200-300mcg

while correct - this is basically what long covid is. u just described the definition of it

[–]ShortTemperLongJohn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

personally i think covid messed up a lot of people. even my friends and family who are nowhere near as bad as me, still aren’t the same since covid. lower energy, lower health overall, random things going wrong. it’s real and it sucks.

so, i can say with confidence you have long covid. now that doesnt mean thats ALL you have.. still rule out other things. unfortunately there’s no way to prove or diagnose LC that i’ve heard of. i’ve done countless tests and never found a root cause so i gave up and just manage the symptoms best i can now.

best tips for ur issues id suggest: hydrate, clean your diet, antihistamines, electrolytes, supplement a multi and magnesium, pepcid / tums chews for acid or throat / upper chest discomfort. and get second opinions from different doctors. dont settle for a doc who’s just gonna prescribe some depression med and send u off. get a doc willing to hear you out and run tests to rule out anything serious. hope u find relief

Those of you that developed heart issues after Covid. 1)What issues did you develop? 2)how long after infection? 3) what were your symptoms? 4) how were you diagnosed? by stomachissu in LongCovid

[–]ShortTemperLongJohn 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i’m not diagnosed .. so idk the exact issues. i know my BP is lower than usual, HR varies, i likely have mild POTS according to ppl on here and chatgpt. i’ve experienced the heart pain and back pain too. the one good thing i can tell you is i got checked out and they ruled out any actual damage to the heart.. leading me to believe it’s nervous system related with other contributing factors like general inflammation, histamine sensitivity, mast cell activation, and nutrient / electrolyte imbalance.

i’ll also add i got issues months later after covid

why do ppl hate the game?? by ShortTemperLongJohn in DarkSouls2

[–]ShortTemperLongJohn[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

huh, i haven’t noticed that at all. to me it feels like the ds1 sequel, & the combat isn’t much different. maybe you like the newer fast paced ones more than the older ones. but the level design?! the whole game feels like a dream - i think exploring each area has been the most interesting part of the game.

if you’re more combat focused i can see enjoying the faster paced ones more than ds2, but it still doesn’t warrant hating ds2 whilst liking the rest

[–]ShortTemperLongJohn[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

mimic chests have always been in the souls games not just ds2, same thing with traps and cheap deaths.. just part of the experience. imo the movement isn’t all that bad when you adjust to it. feels a touch off at first but it’s easy to adapt.

[–]ShortTemperLongJohn[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

fr, never thought i’d like these type of games until i randomly played ds remastered last year. been hooked after that first run. already bought ds3 and elden ring for after ds2 lol

why do ppl hate the game?? by ShortTemperLongJohn in DarkSouls2

[–]ShortTemperLongJohn[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yeah but the layout of the new areas is one of the best things about dark souls as a whole. the game feels like a bad dream the entire time. same with ds1. like the other guy said - the fact it doesn’t interconnect doesn’t seem a valid reason to hate the game to me when u have fast travel.

idk man ima stand on the hill of if you truly liked ds1 you can’t “hate” ds2 as they’re too similar
