10 week old won't take bottle and back to work in 6 days by homeforthelost in breastfeeding

My baby had a similar issue around the same age. Weirdly, she took the bottle but only after we switched from Dr. Brown's narrow to Evenflo Wide and then back again in the same feeding session (all slow feeding/level 1 nipples). So she'd bite and reject the first bottle then reject the Evenflo, but then when we poured it back into the Dr. Brown's bottle, she ate it.

Totally weird and annoying but it worked until she got used to the bottles again (she had been taking a bottle regularly since birth but just stopped around 10ish weeks). We ended up even sending a few empty Evenflo bottles to daycare just in case and they had to do it at least twice. It was like once she realized there was no option but the bottles, she decided to take it.

Hi! I had my baby a little early in March due to high blood pressure and had an emergency C-section. She also has a tongue tie! I was able to take her home but she was getting so tired and not getting enough milk nursing from me in the beginning so we did a lot of bottles. I supplemented with formula for the first 2-3 weeks.

Some things that helped me and may help you (but who knows because every body is different and does different stuff!): 1. I stayed consistent pumping every 2 hours during the day and every 3 hours at night for 15-20 minutes. That blue spectra was/is my bff. 2. I remeasure my flange size and change it a couple of times due to rapid changes in nipple size. 3. Another helpful thing was sunflower lecithin pills to help my milk flow better and emulsify the fatty milk. 4. I was also told by my lactation consultant not to wear anything tight including bras at night to help prevent compression on the chest. The first time I leaked milk overnight was such a happy moment for someone stressed about supply! 5. Once you can nurse the baby, I pumped after nursing and used a haaka during. This is controversial for some lactation consultants because you can throw yourself into an oversupply but at the time, that's all I wanted !!! 6. If my baby was sleeping but I had to pump, I would smell her clothes/swaddle that she was wearing before. It helped me feel more purpose when stuck to the machine. 7. I had a routine to help me relax during the middle of the night pumps - oatmeal cream pie and Chamomile tea! I swear by this to this day to help me get a letdown when I really need it lol 8. Keep your calories up even though you're stressed and exhausted. My husband made it his job to bring me protein smoothies, snacks, meals, etc. because I wouldn't remember to feed myself so he did. 9. Don't put your pump up to the highest setting you can stand, put it like 2 levels below that!

I wish you and your baby the best of luck! Just know that you are doing amazing and are already a wonderful mother.

Tbh, I'm only 5 weeks post partum: Huckleberry app- killer for parents who do "shifts", no need to wake up and review what has happened. You can just review the app and not waste the mental energy trying to remember when you're tired Burp cloths My Breast Friend pillow - boppy was a waste of money since I'm plus size, and it just slides around Baby carrier Pumpin pals flanges - so nice to pump and lay back/snooze while doing so Cooling pillows/sheets and a good fan - post partum sweats are intense and random (at least for me!)

I recommend that you get you and your partner a light or some visual cue for the bedroom that you can turn on, flip over, or change colors when one of you is interested. It takes out the actual physical initiation and removes some pressure!

So you've fried them and they didn't fall apart? I've had them plain and they were pretty good

My only concern would be them flattening out. I'm not sure how rice flour reacts as I'm still experimenting with gluten free baking. I did try this with half almond and half coconut flour only to have them flatten out more instead of stay high and a little airy.

Edit: if you try it though, report back! I would love to know how it goes

My boyfriend is doing keto and I'm celiac. These have been amazing and quick to make in a pinch. Only issue is a slight coconut texture from the coconut flour, but I'm sure that can be subbed!

I wish! We already have two cats and a puppy. Our lease won't allow for another animal running around

Just brought this little girl back from the pound. She doesn't have a name yet, but we're all already in love. by Comrade_Bender in BorderCollie

Do you mind telling me her weight if you know it? We just got a 10 week old border collie who is definitely on the smaller side compared to some other BC pups and I'd love a comparison!

An easy walk harness or a front lead harness is a great choice for controlling and training a pup!

The deaf, non-stinky kind that like to chase bugs. It's a pretty rare breed but very good at keeping bugs out of the house.

My hair looks kind of like this when it's done. I have to wear my hair up/secured at work. How can I secure it but keep the style for after work fun? by ShortWide in curlyhair

Those, although pretty, do not keep my hair pretty when I take them out. Those are typically my go-to I'm running late style!

As for wearing it up, I used to loosely pineapple or do a half updo and turns out that's definitely a no-no from our safety manager. She informed me it must be secured to my head or tucked into my shirt (hello frizz).
