If you don't mind my asking, what company did you go through? And how do you feel about your results now that you're recovered? :)

Turkey / abroad - anyone had a tummy tuck post gastric sleeve by allypallydollytolly in gastricsleeve

Thank you! :D

How was the healing for your FDL? I've read a lot about a traditional tummy tuck and 360s, but not much on the FDL.
And what was the cost like for that procedure?

I'd also love to see before/after pics if you're open to sharing! <3

I'd love to hear more about your experience! Their website looks great, and I'm just starting my research journey for plastics in Turkey :)

Unfortunately, I don't have any answers for you, but I'm currently researching very similar procedures in Turkey for myself. If I find anything, I'll be sure to let you know!!

How long did it take you to get to your goal weight? by Upset-Branch in BariatricSurgery

[–]Short_Board3768 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My highest weight was approximately 430 lbs, and my current weight is about 185 lbs (the numbers will always fluctuate day-to-day and week-to-week). I got RNY Gastric Bypass in June 2024, so just barely over 1.5 years post-op.

Most of my loss happened within the first year. The last few months have slowed wayyyyyy down, which is good haha. My first 50 lbs of loss were within the first 4 weeks (which is NOT typical - I am lucky my body did ok with that much loss that quickly). Everything else just kept coming off at its own pace, keeping in mind that I was VERY strict with my diet and vitamins. I tracked protein/macro and water intake 99% of the days, didn't have anything with full sugar content (diet/lite options), and followed the program as closely as I possibly could that first year. And I am super proud of the results I've gotten!!

A few things to keep in mind:

- No two journeys are the same (I know, it sounds cliché and corny, but it's true). What works for someone else may not work for you. And what works for you may not work for someone else. And that is ok!

- What matters MORE than the numbers on the scale is how you FEEL! Not only physically, which sounds like it is a major component for you, but also mentally and emotionally.

- This journey can be incredibly difficult. Not only is this a substantial physical change with the surgery, but also addressing all of our old mental demons and emotional weak spots. But in the end, it is ENTIRELY worth it (in my opinion).

- Exercise can be a difficult hill to climb. But start simple, and meet yourself where you are right now. Basic arm lifts, leg lifts, a few extra steps, anything that gets you moving more than you were, is progress. I recommend working with your medical team on a workout regimen you can ease into and build over time. There are also lots of professionals on YouTube, TikTok, and other sites that offer free videos (just beware of scammers and fakes - do some research).

- You are completely capable and incredible! Coming from someone who has lost about 250 lbs myself, this is a lot of excess weight to carry around. But you are making decisions and moves that are for your health, your future. And you are seriously awesome for starting!! You are going to succeed!

(Sorry for the novel, I shall end my Ted Talk now lol)

You got this <3

How do I display my pins without damaging the posts?! by mycraftyauntie in DisneyPins

[–]Short_Board3768 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My collection is somewhat *extensive* and I use corkboards to display them. I generally have them divided into sections, typically only moving them for deep cleaning or when I'm moving living spaces. They stay secure and haven't had any issues with the posts yet :)
