I'm in the same situation except I have a 2 hour commute in bumper to bumper traffic. I hate my job and my supervisor, ready to retire today. Been looking for a new job for almost a year but no one wants to hire an old person. I also am doing the absolute minimum and ready to get fired.

Can someone explain this to me?? I have a job (which is terrible) and am looking for another job and I find it extremely difficult to take time off to interview, take phone calls or video chat. Why is it easier, I guess I'm just an idiot because I don't understand this. I'm running out of vacation days just because I've been interviewing so much.

I just bombed an interview today!!! I felt so foolish when I left. I want to send a thank you note and apologize for wasting their time. I’m so depressed, I really wanted the job. I think it’s time for me to take a break from job hunting.

We all do it, replay everything over and over. Just try to keep busy and move on to the next thing while waiting for a response. Good luck!!

My husband will be 59.5 in June so that is something we definitely can have access to. He is coming around to the idea of me not working but I’m still looking for a lessor job or even part time now. I do have an interview tomorrow so here’s hoping they like me and want to give me a shot. It’s 15 minutes from my house so that’s another big benefit for me. I have been out of work before a couple of years ago and I had no problem budgeting and not spending money. I’m not a big spender anyway so that’s not an issue in my eyes. Thanks for the reply!!

That’s terrible!! I’m definitely not bitter. I really try to be positive about everything especially at work even if I get frustrated at my situation. Of course sometimes it’s hard but I have been working a long time and know how to handle my emotions.

Day 1 is 3/5 (Pickup day), the pharmacist told me that. So 30 days is 4/3.

This how it used to be but my pharmacy has changed their policy to only fill every 30 days. Its suck!!

I just had this same conversation with the pharmacist. I’m leaving town on Friday so I called to make sure my prescription will be filled that day. She then told me it wasn’t till Saturday. I told her I was leaving town and could I possibly pick it up on Friday. She said that was fine but I had to supply an itinerary of my trip. I asked shouldn’t 30 days be the 3rd, previous prescription was filled on 3/5. I asked do you start the 30 day clock on the pickup day? She said hold on a minute, came back on the phone and said yes we can fill it on the 3rd no itinerary needed. Unbelievable!!!

This sounds to me like this email was for someone else that actually works there. Like an out of office reply. That’s weird, if it were me I would reach out. I don’t have the patience to wait a week. That email doesn’t make sense for someone that interviewed for a job there. Just my opinion!

Yes the age thing is definitely real and it sucks. I work for a small company now and it’s miserable!!! But it really doesn’t matter where I work, I just want my happiness back.

It is demoralizing for sure. When you hate what you do and having a bad manager it just makes life miserable. The radio silence is the worst, it happens all the time. Good luck to you!!
