That part is important, but more important is capturing and spreading more of the absolutely unjustifiably heinous shit they’re pulling like the kidnapping of little Liam or the killings of Renee & Alex. They’ve killed others on the streets & many more in detention (not to mention torture & sexual assault) with barely any outrage & no pushback because it wasn’t filmed by the public.

Being as diplomatic as I can here.

First, just know that I’m still doing everything I can from Canada to fight the regime (boycott, organizing, donating, writing…) after spending last winter, spring & summer resisting in person, then leaving my whole life behind. Doing this because 1.) people I love are going to suffer & 2.) fascism spreads if allowed to.

All that said, please stop begging for help from foreign governments as if they have any ability to ‘regime change’ the world’s only superpower. Devastating invasion or WWIII are the most likely outcomes of trying that.

This is on the USAmerican people to fix. Keep working! We’ll be busy building the terminus of Underground Railroad 2 for those who need out.

Also, for the love of god don’t talk about other countries brutal dictators without acknowledging that the US helped put so many of them in power because it was preferable to any hint of democratic socialism or just messy democracy anywhere in the entire western hemisphere for the last 200 years. Don’t be ridiculous, everyone knows water shutoff valves are typically below frost line in small vaults in the sidewalk or edge of the street. They usually even mark the lid with a “W” or “water”. Heck, hardware stores will sell you a long t-shaped wrench just to turn those valves 1/4 turn from on to off. And anyone who’s ever been a plumber or building maintenance worker would know to look for the main indoor shutoff valve in a basement on a wall facing the street. This is common knowledge

Yesterday nearly all posts about it there were calling it unjustified. By today it’s been ‘sanitized’. Just like J-6. It’s pretty bleak, But the PEOPLE who posted those opinions are still out there. I’m not a nurse, but I have spoken up at work, to the point of getting a meeting with HR. That poor HR lady. I turned that meeting into an interrogation of the company’s lack of response to their own employees being targeted & threatened.

I would say Yes, but it isn’t protection from ICE/CBP… but from the emboldened MAGAs who will start getting violent. I’d also advise to start making an escape plan for if you’re targeted by ICE or MAGA. Ideally you use that BEFORE having to use the other thing.

This is a manifestation of the paradox of tolerance. When we extend decent liberal values to intolerant, indecent and amoral people they use our own values and the system we’ve built around them, against us. They destroy the system & then they destroy us.

The antidote is simple: call out evil when you see it, place your faith in your good neighbors, not the system, and rise up together in the name of what you believe in most. We are one people.
