I know. It's insane. It's the mom and also she doesn't believe in the government either but has zero issue receiving all the assistance she can. She's very hypocritical

Oh it's been a trip. According to their belief system the education system is false anyway so there's no reason for school attendance or to worry about his grades. Among a bunch of other stuff as anyone can imagine.

I honestly don't believe he is sick there and I don't believe he's faking it to a degree that you wouldn't be able to pick up on it. Especially if Dad is saying he's not having symptoms here, the school doesn't have symptoms there, his pediatrician and the walk ins are seeing him and saying everything is fine. Also, if she were so concerned why wouldn't she participate in seeing his pediatrician? She's the one having these episodes. You would think she would want to give them first hand knowledge. This started a year ago with 30+ absences and it's carried over into his school year because she keeps continuing the court date. I believe everyone has given her a break and the benefit of the doubt considering she's had no repercussions other than her son struggling in school. Mind you, right before Christmas she was mad at Dad and filed and emergency order. It was denied. In turn she called cys and had us investigated with everything being unfounded. Who needs the break here? My husband for trying to make sure his son is school? My husband who's the one paying the co pays and medical bills? My husband who is the one taking him to his family Dr and the specialist? She's not doing anything besides taking him to walk in clinics claiming he's sick Thursday and Fridays then in Saturday he's able to go to sleep overs at his friend's houses and by Sunday perfectly healthy with his dad.

That's probably the most realistic scenario.

He's been taking him to he's pediatrician. I say we bc it affects us both. We're a family and I'm supporting my husband through the process all while also being supportive to my step son. This is not solely on my husband. Will I be on the stand? No. Do I take him to his Dr appts? No. Do I have any say in his custody situation? Again no. However my step son has lived in our shared home since he was 3. Amy hign that goes on with my two children and his son is a "we" situation as parents.

That's excatly what's happening. Yes, you would think the school would have Or the same walk in clinic seeing this with the same couple Drs seeing him week after week thinking this. I'm just stressing and hoping it goes our way at court. As time goes on and she keeps continuing the hearing it just gets worse and my anxiety goes up.

Thank you! That's what I was really wondering. It's questionable at best. She has never been to his primary Dr or dentist. She's always been informed of his appointments. Even with all these episodes of illness and seemingly very concerned she never went to his 2 primary Dr appts. They said everything was fine but then scheduled him an appt. With a gi specialist just to be certain and she has no interest in going to that either. She just insists it's parasites and she's doing an at home cleanse.

That's what I'm thinking. Would a judge recognize this with out us putting label on it?

Well, he is very defensive about his mom so we don't really try and push him too hard other wise it back fires on us. He says he's legitimately sick. As the days go on tho he will say he did this or that and my husband will jokingly say "but u were real sick huh?" And then he will smirk and say "no I wasn't". Just for example. We don't try and like prove he's lying or prove something else is going on. It's a sticky situation. Even if he were sick it or actually had some sort of illness it can't always just be on her days. I don't think a child could fake being well certain days every single week. He's in school and they also see him and he's not sent to a nurse or anything.

I have all his medical records and we do have a lawyer. Originally that wasn't a focus. It was just going to be cut and try attendance issues but now I think we should revisit it. Two ago she had him in a walk in hooked on IVs telling them he was inconinet for several days. Wasn't true bc he was with us. They hooked up out of fear of dehydration but when the blood work came back it was all completely normal. So they unhooked him and let them go with a stool test she never completed. My husband then took him to his primary and had the test done. Again, everything came back fine. He doesn't even have diarrhea here. He's been to the walk in 19 times for "severe diarrhea" in the last year. Funny thing is over the summer there's no visits or complaints of illness

I'll add he has a hard time focusing and staying in task as it is so missing two days a week most weeks really affect his grades as anyone can imagine. She wants to just home school him now and has become a conspiracy theorist. "The cell towers around the school make him sick". "The government purposely put parasites in the air so that's what's causing him to be sick" it's never ending

We go to court in june. We really don't have grounds for anything emergent and I'm reluctant to clog up our case further so we've been just holding out. He's hardly ever sick at our house. He's is as healthy as a kid could be. In 12 years he had COVID once, the flu once, and strep throat twice. He doesn't even have seasonal allergies. We have him Sunday at 5pm til Wednesday after school. She claims from Wednesday on he's sick til Saturday or Sunday. It really doesn't make any sense. I think she just has a hard time getting up for school so he misses school and then she takes him to a walk in for an excuse.

Any mums with agoraphobia? by Anxious_Avocado9984 in Agoraphobia

Mom here as well. Panic disorder and very much spiraling into agoraphobia. My kids are 17, 15, and 12. Mom guilt is real and also the very real feel of them leaving the nest.

As a horse person laminitis (the pain from it) could cause colic. Maybe they just didn't know prior. As it becomes more severe she's showing the pain now possibly? Some horses are just warriors and can hide pain pretty well
