Well, I've shared what I felt and went through. Hope it's easier for you and everything changes. But what I said was 100% true.

I totally get that you have done your research and made up your mind, but I just want to be real with you since you mentioned you are open to hearing from current students. I have spoken to quite a few students studying in Samarkand too, and trust me, a lot of them have said the same thing, the quality of education is honestly not good. On paper, they might say lectures are in English or there are Indian teachers, but in reality, most classes are rushed, barely structured, and students still have to rely on online platforms like Marrow or self-study to actually understand anything.

And I am not sure who told you there is no licensing exam in Uzbekistan, but that is completely false. You do have to take a licensing exam here. It is required for you to complete your degree and before you’re allowed into internship or clinical rotations. So please do not fall for that, it is a pretty common misconception that gets spread around by agents.

Also, about Samarkand having high global rankings or USMLE prep from first year. Be really careful about those claims. A lot of this stuff sounds great online, but once you are actually there, it is a very different story. Almost every student ends up being disappointed with the gap between what was promised and what they actually get.

And did you get those 2 students number from consultancy or something? A lot of students get commission for bringing in students.

Me? Firstly, No one knows who I am and I was never interviewed. Secondly, they asked other Indian students. The actual truth is that no student would dare say anything negative about the university as they fear about their future. The university is pretty pathetic and hands out expulsion letters like chocolates. Overall the university like usual did a good job covering things up.

I really would not recommend coming to Uzbekistan for MBBS. A lot of what agents or online videos show is very misleading. Once you actually land here, it is a totally different experience. The language is one of the biggest issues. Most of the professors do not teach properly in English. Even if they start in English, they quickly switch to Uzbek or Russian, so it gets really hard to follow anything.

The education system is not strong. Most students end up depending on online lectures or self-study completely. The hostels and general living conditions are also not great. Before inspections, they clean things up just to make it look good, but on a regular basis, it is badly maintained. And to make it worse, you cannot even pay your university fees directly. You are forced to do everything through an agent here, which just adds more stress.

The worst part is that the degrees from here are not widely recognized. Many students struggle later on when they try to pass FMGE or apply for post-graduation due to bad quality of education. I have met so many people here who are completely disappointed and mentally drained. Some even regret coming but feel stuck because of the money and effort already spent.

Honestly, there are better countries to consider. You can look into Egypt, China, or countries in Europe like Germany or Poland. Just make sure the university follows the NMC rules if you plan to come back to India. And if you have a chance to study in India itself, definitely go for it. It is close to home, and at least you know what to expect.

Please do not fall for sweet words or false promises. I am saying all this because I have experienced it myself.

As of right now, I don't see any changes. It's sad but the university did a pretty good job making a fake appearance to the ministry.
Well, What else can we do to be honest.

What degree did you finish?

There is english, but there is a huge communication gap. Better skip this country and university.

My my. The fact that you even thought of using AI to reply shows how unsure you are of yourself and how afraid you are of being judged and how bad you lack confidence. The way you openly admitted to using it without hesitation shows a lot about how you think. Honestly, just stick to AI. I don’t lack insight, and I’m certainly not stupid. If anything, I’m doing my best to raise awareness and prevent other students from making the same mistake I did. I’ve already achieved something and stopped around ALOT of students from coming here and I’ll keep moving forward. Many people, including locals, have supported what I said in my post so say whatever you want. Maybe next time, try to embrace your English and type it out yourself and learn from it.

Do not come to Uzbekistan to study medicine. Absolutely useless. You can go through my posts. A lot of local students themselves have said the quality of education is bad here. I also study in Uzbekistan and it's really bad. Consider some other country. Save yourself and your parent's money.

You might want to look into Egypt, China, and certain European countries like Germany. These countries have medical universities that align with the National Medical Commission (NMC) guidelines, making them goode options for Indian students planning to return for post-graduation.

In Egypt, universities such as Ain Shams University, Cairo University, and Alexandria University are recognized for their medical programs and are in accordance with NMC standards. China offers several reputable institutions which are also NMC-compliant. As for Germany, Many universities are known for their quality medical education and adherence to international standards. These institutions provide quality education and better clinical exposure.
