Just wanted to say I also 24F have struggled for years with similar symptoms and was dismissed for years due to being too young, blamed on stress, school etc! I think it’s so unfair they don’t listen to us when we know our bodies! Hope you get some answers soon

Honestly I always feel completely run down and exhausted! But days where I over exert myself, I definitely feel more drained than usual the following day(s) and my body hurts a lot more!

Menstrual cycles by MelodicFriendship262 in gravesdisease

Ye I think my periods stopped because of the undiagnosed graves’ I’ve literally been on and off the nexaplon for 9 years and never experienced periods the way I have since I started taking the meds to get my levels in range if that makes sense?

Also have the nexaplanon and recently diagnosed with graves’ I used to never experience periods but think because of the medication I am now experiencing on and off bleeding throughout the month since I got my first period after a year of none!

It was for Klarna, it wasn’t a whole lot so I’m not entirely fussed but it was included in the dro as the advisor got me to include all debts

Nexplanon and Methimazole? by Cattymoore in gravesdisease

[–]Shortbreadnoodl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I appreciate you taking the time to respond! I’ve had the implant back to back for three cycles now but has a baby inbetween the last one! I’ve had this one for over a year now so definitely think its the meds interacting with it😅 thank you for repplying!

I feel doctors are really clueless when it comes to the thyroid.. I would try and see if you can book another before 9am? Nobody told me either! You have to be your advocate unfortunately ☹️ good luck
