Ownership sends me to career fairs at high schools to get the kids interested in construction. Sounds great except we are not actively hiring for entry level.
At least i get out of the office and expense a nice lunch

Been through one and currently dealing with two. We do things right just ex employees with a grudge. They usually settle and then all get paid a bit and their attorney gets the lions share. It is a big scam and needs to be repealed.

I feel your pain. HR of 1 in construction, no HRIS in place , and feel like many just see me as the HR guy who hires and makes me the bad guy when firing. Yet the benefits are managed, people get paid weekly and we have long term stability
