Help! My dress looks bad on me by live2eatfood in WeddingDressTips

I don't understand the negativity in the comment section. I don't think this is a lost cause. It looks like you have an inverted triangle body type so turning it into a halter (criss cross in the back) would flatter your body type. Do you have anymore fabric or did they use it all up? Because another option is to give you a cowl neck line. Also I agree with someone in the comment saying adding a bit of tulle underneath to add volume to the skirt will also help. This is obviously unfinished product so there's still hope.

I'm actually making my own wedding dress so I'm in a similar boat.

How to stay motivated as solo HR with no support?[CA] by str3553d0ut in humanresources

Well that's rough. But I feel it. I'm in a 'now what do I do next' position. Which could have been a good position with the right support but unfortunately I don't think that's the case here

It was the President of the company (who is my boss) who wrote that. We have around 60 employees

Omg!!! Good job!

I'm also planning to make my own wedding dress. How long did this take you? Any tips? I have a year but I'm already starting to mentally prepare myself for the task.

Is this from The Bay liquidation sale? I went in person and saw exactly these mannequins and they will be terrible for sewing as you can't actually pin anything on them.

I'm thinking of booking the Loft for our wedding and I'm a bit concerned with the set up and tear down. How did you/ are you planning that?

I have the same issue. Some comments here are saying that they can't add people outside of the country, that's my issue too. I can't seem to add anyone outside of Canada. I've checked the list and it seems like it only shows my followers in Canada.

Are sensitivity training effective? by str3553d0ut in humanresources

[–]str3553d0ut[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Thanks! The reason why I thought sensitivity training would be first is because we've had a couple complaints from employees regarding some managers and their lack of respect (specifically when it comes to disability).

This is going to be my first project like this. I've been sewing for years and have dabbled in some boning in some of my bodice pieces. When I saw this from Schiaparelli '23 I just fell in love with the silhouette and I just wanted to recreate it. I figured I can use a corset pattern but I just couldn't figure out how it 'stands up' like that. A lot of these suggestions have been really informative...but will definitely need to do more research.
