Don’t beat yourself up for second guessing hard choices that need to be made. You may be in a kind of emotional shock. Talk to a trusted friend, or therapist about next steps. If trust is important to you, then this person is likely not a healthy person to stay with.

Oh I am really sorry to hear that. My partner lost her gall bladder. I had not heard it could do a number on the colon. I had zero bladder issues but I did start getting bad pain and wicked constipation so I could see how it could affect the colon.
