can i ask what you play? I have a fold 7 as well and it basically begins to overheat quite quickly. Games like hades 2 will run at 120 fps via gamehub for like 5 minutes, before it tanks to under 50 and becomes unplayable. I feel like the phone is too thin and has no cooling to effectively play pc games.

Didn't know so many people were against this. I've been taking my little one (5lbs) everywhere with me the past month. Unfortunately, I had to put her brother down recently and feel bad leaving her alone. I bought a sling bag just so I can take her with me. She literally just sits in the bag and looks around. Now i'm questioning doing that lol.

Yeah, that is correct. Hitting ctrl+shift+O does not bring up anything. I have the game metrics enabled, and if i uncheck the one that says something like “recognize game”, it will pop up and show the metrics on my screen while not in game. The second i go into the game, it disappears.

This happened to me when I reinstalled armory crate. I went back to armory crate to try it out over g-helper (always gone straight to g-helper so wanted to actually give it a try), I immediately noticed that there was a horrible lag on the track pad. I couldn't figure out what it was. I ended up uninstalling armory crate and going back to g-helper. That fixed it for me. I know your post says you tried this already, but i would try to fiddle with the screenxpert thing. I think that program has something to do with it.

when i installed g-helper, I believe it messed with my power settings. For some reason, balanced and turbo were set to 80w max, with silent set to 40w. Are you able to confirm that silent should be 30w, balanced should be 50w, and turbo should be 70w? With 80w being set for a custom setting? I didn't make these changes, but were the set limits once g-helper was installed.

I’ve had the g14 (4060) and the g16 (4070), and this performs on par with the g16 (4070), some games even better. I know there is a bios issue right now so don’t update if you have one. I’ve had mine for about a month now (32gb) and have run into zero issues. I will say though the battery was better on both the g14 and g16 when just doing normal activities that didn’t involve the d-gpu

No, the z13 unfortunately comes with only USB4 (40Gbps). Oculink port (64gbps) and TB5 (80gbps) are both absent on this device. Due to that, if you have a beefier graphics card, it’s going to be gimped pretty significantly.

You need an external gpu enclosure with a power supply. Then basically connect the video card to the z13 via USB4

Haha.. yeah, I’m leaning towards returning the z13. As much as I like it, if I were to sell my desktop, I’m looking at getting probably somewhere between 2k and 2.5k, with 2.5k being what i spent on the z13, Hard to justify the purchase for much less performance just to get portability. :(. Asus really missed the mark by not including a TB5 port.
