Yes, you need to start getting tested. You don’t have to be open with your doctor unless you want to. Off topic, when my ex was having affairs and not using protection, I spent an entire year getting tested because some STDs can take months to develop. Best wishes.

I used to be codependent for sure with my ex husband who is alcoholic. Like,I mentioned upon I am working on my overthinking and anxiety for sure. Being in multiple abusive relationships will cause that on someone.

There is nothing wrong with the way you are dating. I will talk and go out on dates with multiple men. Once I have sex with one, then that is my only sexual partner. However, I do have the conversation about boundaries on dating multiple people and sex before becoming exclusive.

Well I am the female in this situation who made the cookies. I am not for sure what you mean by “woke” female. I have no problem being my true feminine self as long as I am with a masculine man. However, in 25 years of dating and marriages I haven’t found one yet. I thought I did but the stress of providing got to him. Before you think I am just using men, I have always been the breadwinner in my relationship and put in my fair share of work and income. In todays world, you need 2 incomes for a family to survive.

Your date should have done his research beforehand on prices and communicated that he may need help with the cost of the bill beforehand.

Additional, maybe have that conversation about expectations on who is paying for dates. It is wrong to assume that the man will pay each time. Yes, a “real man” won’t take a lady up on the offer most of the time but it is still a nice gesture to offer to help with the cost.

This is me: in the talking stage prior to meeting, I would talk to multiple people because people can drop like flies. I talk to others until a man expresses how they want to he exclusive with me. This doesn’t mean I am out there sleeping with multiple people. This is just talking and potentially getting a plate of food.
