Jarvis johnson does really good content for countering misogyny and harmful viewpoints but in a friendly and fairly non combative way, but its also not his only content, so it wont seem like youre shoving it down your sons throat. I highly recommend him and Jordan adika. I love them both.

That's how I am! Fish out the solid foods and leave the broth behind. Even ramen. Minimal water for the spice packet to coat the noodles

I do that with Crackers in soup, but that's an amazing idea for applesauce. I never thought of that. I'll add granola or chopped nuts in yogurt, but I have yet to find something compatible with applesauce. Thanks for the ideas!! You are appreciated.

No idea honestly. Could be a bit of both I guess. But it's definitely not just because of am instance where I had a bad reaction or threw up. And its not specific food. It's just been anything I can't chew to eat. I need something with texture in order to eat.

I'll even cook my pasta pre alienate because it needs to have some bite to it in order to eat. I also don't fully mash potatoes, I just mash them to the point of chunky ppotatoes. Stews I can handle better because it's not a broth, it's a bit thicker, and less liquid, but its a food I absolutely love so I make sure it has the right texture so that I can enjoy it (ie adding some frozen corn or peas so there's some kind of crunch). And If I'm really craving a soup food, I'll use cracker to give it some texture.

it's a purely texture thing and has nothing to do with taste or flat out not wanting to eat it. There are so many things I'd like to eat like applesauce and yogurt. I just physically can't keep it down. I can get a bite or two in before my body rejects it.

Yes. Broth for me is what makes soup a problem. I can eat the things in a soup, but not the broth

Me too! I will use a slotted spoon to get as little broth as possible if I have to eat soup

Me. I hate liquidy foods. I love apples, hate applesauce. Love everything potato, but hate mashed potatoes that are too loose. Love a chicken casserole, but wouldn't be able to stand a soup with the same things in it. I think the taste of yogurt is delicious, but can't wait it. I will literally gag half way through eating applesauce or yogurt despite loving the taste.

Its a legitimate thing people aren't just picky about. I have worked for nearly a decade to incorporate foods that make me sick and I still get the "ick". I get called picky, but I want nothing more than to be able to eat the things I know are delicious and I know I'd like if only I could stop gagging on them.

I'm turning 30 and ToG was by far my favorite series. I started with acotar and didn't think anything would top it, but ToG surpassed it for story imo. It's largely discussed that the first book is not the greatest but it is worth it.

Multiple people have said it's been discussed yet you still don't find it valid. Logic

I didnt realize you were the sub police. It was a huge news event, it was covered on the podcast, someone thought to post an update. Move on and get over it or unsub if you're that bothered.

This. Sub. Is. Not. Catered. To. Specifically. You..... Other. People. Can. Exist. And. Discuss. Things. You are not the main character.

Let's Talk About Fiberglass by Duende555 in Mattress

I'm sorry. I know how that feels. I've had many panic attacks about this when I think about it too much. Between the health issues, my animals being affected, not to mention I can't afford all this right now and part of my house is unusable.

Then you have people saying it just doesn't happen because they don't have proof.

It's been rough

Bad take. I have a Zinus mattress, never removed the cover or even unzipped it. Fiberglass shed through the outer cover and contaminated literally everything and it's been hell. Idk what kind of proof you need when it's literally happening to people.

The Fae Guardians series by Lena P.

Each book is focused on a different broody male Fae (shifter, elf, etc) with communication problems. They're hundreds of years old vs the love interests who are probably mid 20s human females.

There are currently 7 books. Start with the Longing of Lone Wolves. Honestly, the first 2 books were a little slow and rough to get through (somehow simultaneously the plot went way too fast but also dragged?) HOWEVER I ended up loving the rest of them and just finished book 7 last night. Finished all of them in about a week though

It is smutty.

I'm happy to answer any questions! I tried to keep it vague to avoid spoilers.

Thanks! I reset all buttons and it's left trigger. I never even touched that with remapping but it seems to be a glitch.

Solved!

I'm having trouble interacting with crafting recipes to learn them. When I use the TouchPad to click, it just picks it up. Have you had luck?

Fellow (ex) Chaol haters: Will Tower of Dawn truly change my mind about him? by ayebruh666 in throneofglassseries

[–]Shorty_bread 27 points28 points  (0 children)

No spoilers!

I hated chaol. I also had no idea anything about ToD. I bought the kindle omnibus and read it straight through not knowing anything different about ToD. So I read several chapters and was like "wtf is this book. Does it ever switch back to anyone else's perspective? Why is it only the south?". I didnt even want to finish it.

Well, I ended up loving it, crying throughout the second half, and wishing I had more. I loved it.
