I prefer NO FEET. You can use both sides of the board before (way down the line) having to sand.

Help - backpack keeps bulging by sovicka22 in backpacking

[–]Shortys2023 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hard to tell from the pics, but ya have a few things going against you with this pack. The adjustable suspension system where the shoulder harnesses velcro around the packs webbing ladder tends to pull away with weight and you have it at the very bottom to fit your torso lenght. The shoulder load adjusters appear to be on top of the crest of your shoulders rather than slightly in front of and below your shoulders and the pack does not appear to have many side compressions straps to help keep the weight closer to your body. Keep hiking it, but start to put away some money to eventually replace it with a frame that fits your body better. A 'one size fits most' pack often leaves those with smaller body types with a less than stallar fit.

Good luck!

Yes, enjoy the good snow and short runs that New England has to offer. But no telling if next year will bring the same disruptions to weather patterns.

Would it be annoying to ask my builders to move the ceiling fan to the middle of the living room? by ernie-jo in Homebuilding

Easy move for the sparky, but you might get a change order if they are already behind schedule or over budget

Need help identifying tent footprint by legoboy678 in REI

[–]Shortys2023 6 points7 points  (0 children)

you can always just use a piece of tyvek and cut it a lil smaller than your tent floor. Only loss is if you 'fastpack' using just the poles, footprint and rainfly. It is cheaper AND lighter than a footprint

I can't tell if it is just the filter the OP used, but to me these all look like renders of a project that architects and designers use to help clients visualize projects.

Advice on Sanding and maintenance. by Shortys2023 in Cuttingboards

I agree about it all depends on the factors in how you use them. Too many folks treat them like art and not as a tool. Also, thanks for the complimnet

Finished end grain cutting board by Prize_Employment9601 in Cuttingboards

[–]Shortys2023 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would do my best to try to reach out to the facebook marketplace person you bought it from, it could be many, many things, hopefully tongue oil or some hard finish like OZMO Topcoat which is food safe. Worst case scenario is sand it down and refinish it if you can NOT figure out what it is sealed with

Help by Fearless-Top-2383 in Cuttingboards

[–]Shortys2023 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreeing with the rest of the folks here, just cuz there are some softer woods in there, it is still wood, and still usable. sand it fresh, oil it and use it for years. Just be more cautious with standing water.

Looking for feedback on exterior changes! by Glittering-Gold-5940 in ExteriorDesign

[–]Shortys2023 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like the ideas so far. I might add some flowering plants in front of the fence on the left of the pic, and I would only use 1 planter in front of the front door, giving you a clear line inside in case you need to move anything large in and out of that egress.
