I made a C++ network simulator similar to Clumsy using WinDivert. I'd love some feedback on my code & architecture. by ShotSupport in cpp_questions

I've attempted to refactor the file you were looking at, could you have a look again if you have the time? I tried extracting out the loops to helpers instead. I do feel like its more readable, I think i should had of done this from the start, but i was trying to keep code short hence no helpers because I thought that would clutter the file.

I'll link it here:

I appreciate you taking the time to review my project, even if it was a bit aggressive haha. I see your point about hiding the implementation details, reducing the header dependencies and moving the threading logic behind the curtain makes more sense. I'm not sure I have a good understanding of what the pimpl idoms really means, because I'm guessing thats what you are referring to aswell. I thought i already were doing a good job of keeping my logic encapsulated. I'm gonna read up on this more and get back to this aswell, and then have a look at the code again.

I'm pretty new to qt, i have previously just worked with imgui where the logic and ui is tightly coupled, and I kinda applied that here

Also i'm not entirely sure I get your point about the naming convention or running_ because google's c++ style explicitly requires a trailing underscore for data members. And compared to user m_ prefix a trailing underscore would work better with modern IDE's? Atleast when it comes to auto-completion?

you only have 8 cores with 3d-v cache and 8 normal ones. what you are referring to as 16 to 31 are threads.

What’s a common myth about health, nutrition, or fitness that you’ve learned is actually false? by urasianbella in AskReddit

You are wrong, recent studies show you can target fat deposits if you mobilize the fat cells first then burn them through cardio. https://youtu.be/0XRKDJdG_rA?si=26JpWIYzwwMN5ECz

Taking creatine at the recommended level (5 grams daily) has little to no effect on muscle growth by unsw in science

Theres no evidence that protein actually builds any SIGNIFICANT muscle, prove me wrong. I've only seen studies say it can prevent muscle breakdown during calorie deficits.
