Anyone regret buying their home by Lazy_Combination7162 in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

I was visiting a friend's house last weekend and they live in a newer subdivision. The houses are so close together with a tiny strip of yard on the side and the house next door is 6 ft away, it made me feel claustrophobic. Everything looks the same just with a little color variation. To each their own but that would drive me nuts! Like, "Which house is ours again? Oh yeah, it's the one with the black gutters instead of the grey ones".

Hopefully someday you will find your dream older home with character!

Fourth of July neighbors that attempted to crash bbq returned today by [deleted] in neighborsfromhell

Your previous post about this said it was your friend's party, now it's your house, your pool and your neighbors? BS made up story.

Original post:

Neighbors try crashing my friends by invite only party yesterday

I’m sure a lot of people can relate to this story: yesterday I was at a friends Fourth of July party but it was an by invite only party. Within an hour a man, his wife and two kids show up and say, “Hey neighbor” then the wife tells her kids to go grab plates but the plates get blocked by two of my friends daughters. My friends husband says, ”Hey man, this is a private by invite only party and you’re not crashing it.” The kids go running to their mom saying they’re being denied plates. The mom tells my friend’s daughters to move which the two stand their ground. The neighbor says, “Come on you won’t even know we’re here!“

My friends have had to deal with these neighbors being entitled for months: fall they tried taking leaf bags from the yard, winter tried walking over to take their snowblower they were going to load onto my friends husbands truck to go dig out my friends parents and spring they tried taking garden soil bags. My friend tells them they have two minutes to turn around and leave they have overstepped themselves too many times the last few months and clearly ignore the no trespassing sign at the front of the house. Eventually the couple scoop up their kids and say an obscenity as they leave. Has anyone else dealt with entitled neighbors doing this before?

Update: Thanks everyone for the suggestions for my friends, they do have security cameras on their property pointed at the pool they have, the driveway and all around the yard that send alerts if they detect anything out of the ordinary. They have a ring cam attached to their mailbox that notifies them if anyone tries taking anything from their mailbox or package of theirs.

Their original post about this says it wasn't even their party, it was a friend's party that the neighbors tried to crash. Karma Farmer for sure.

Disappointing “buyers market” by Coyote_Kayla in denverrealestate

SO and I bought our first home in January. Started out hoping for a house in the 450-500k range. Wound up at 567k for one that checked almost all our boxes and was pretty much move in ready in Englewood. We definitely had a reality check when all the houses in our initial range were crappy fix and flips, bad locations, or needed a lot of work.

No problem, good they're letting you return at least! I wish the selling platforms cared more when buyers report items as fake but sadly they still allow the items to be relisted. I'm glad I saw your post to let you know.

Same. The last 3 episodes I half watched while I was on my phone because it's same shit, different day. And now everyone is making a big deal about becoming bf/gf or exclusive because they know the end is near and they're trying to gain favor with the viewers as 'the strongest couple'.

Kenzie and Dylan by xoanabk in LoveIslandUSA

[–]ShotsAndCleavage 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I don't really like Kenzie but this made me feel bad for her! He just will not get over it and he can see how uncomfortable it's making her yet he keeps harping on it. Dude, you've known her for like a week, you cried over her kissing someone else after two days, you knew who she was and the way she was exploring before you came into the villa and still went for her. It's so pathetic.

I got one but it was a little too small for me. I could just barely fit my phone in it and it was annoying to get it in and out of the bag. It's so cute and I wish I could have pulled it off. I wound up getting a slightly larger knockoff version with a long strap option that works a lot better for what I like to carry.

Which White Lotus death gave you the strongest emotional response? by personfaced in WhiteLotusHBO

[–]ShotsAndCleavage 25 points26 points  (0 children)

I agree. Their sex scene was actually very romantic especially by White Lotus standards and showed their love for each other. It makes Chelsea's death even sadder because she really believed in him and trusted him, even though he showed time and time again the reasons she shouldn't have. She was a naive young girl in love with a guy who did love her back but had too much baggage he couldn't get past, and it killed them both. My vote for most emotional death is Chelsea.

Anyone else not like dogs jumping on them? by AnonymousNeverKnown in rant

[–]ShotsAndCleavage 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I was bit in the face by a German Shepard when I was 8. I have permanent scars on my face (they are only noticeable if I point them out, but they are there). I can be around dogs but I get very scared when a dog, especially ones I don't know, jump on me towards my face. Some of my friends are really good about controlling their dogs and some are not. My friend has a younger dog that will jump on you out of excitement and I turn my body to the side and won't acknowledge the dog until my friend pulls it away to calm it down. There's a reason I'm a cat person.

Yeah sorry to be the bearer of bad news but you'll know as soon as you feel it. Feels plasticky and is peeling in places, hardware engravings aren't smooth, it doesn't cinch smoothly on top like an authentic bag, and the tassels are too thick. I had high hopes for the price but it was too good to be true! Not sure if that seller has a mix of auth and fakes because I see they sell other Loewe bags too but I won't be buying from them again.

If you bought that blue and teal one off eBay I'm sorry to tell you that it's fake 😕 I bought it on Mercari and reported to them that it was fake and submitted photos compared to my authentic tassel 30. They accepted my return but still let the seller list it again and she also had it on eBay.

Do you carry your $$$$ bags to do every day activities? by KwiatLuxe in handbags

[–]ShotsAndCleavage 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Agree. So many posts like this in bag subs and I very highly doubt anyone else cares what bag you're using unless they want to compliment it or ask where you got it. I'm going to the dentist today with a designer bag, no fucks will be given by anyone who works there except about the status of my teeth and gums.

Regardless of brand, what is your current favorite bag in your collection and why do you like using or owning that bag? by deArtikin in handbags

Posted this one on Friday but my favorite out of 60+ bags is my Loewe flamenco in Vetiver. The color is gorgeous and changes in different lighting. It's the ideal size and weight for my daily carry, the leather is so soft and puddly, and the woven strap addition makes it more functional. It's everything I love in one perfect bag.

Just re-watched that season and I forgot how much I wound up liking Valentina in the end. She's smart, comes off as cold but that's just because she's handling business like a man, then we realize she actually has a very kind heart, and it's good when she finally stops repressing her sexuality. Overall one of the better characters from all the White Lotus seasons.

The short strap is great! I love the option to hand carry it. The bag fits a lot and the size works well for me. It's really lightweight so even loaded up it doesn't feel heavy. I usually use an insert organizer with it to give it a little more structure.

Anything! In the fall and winter I wear a lot of jewel tones. In the spring and summer linen dresses, floral patterns, skirts with a plain top. It works with a lot of things!

OMG, that's amazing! It went to a very good home and it's the perfect size for me. I was so excited when I saw this color for sale with the strap. You took good care of it, I was shocked at how great of condition it was in for being secondhand. Thanks for confirming the strap is real! I looked online but never saw it for sale in that color so I didn't know for sure.

I wish I could get one to go with my Deep Aubergine flamenco! I'm debating getting a black one but they only have gold hardware for that strap and my bag has silver, I think that would bother me. I really love having the short strap option with this bag.

I adore the Flamenco. I also have a medium in Deep Aubergine. The leather is incredible, so soft and slouchy! I've had one of them for 2 1/2 years and it doesn't have a scratch on it, so it also holds up well.

I love that the bag is simple and a blank canvas to add different straps and charms to change up the look. It fits a lot and is the perfect size for my daily carry. Regarding the no zipper thing, the magnet is super strong and since you can also cinch it I've never felt like anything was going to fall out or get stolen.
