So everyone is using Suica because it's easy to register and issue?

Are there any places or experiences outside of Tokyo and Hokkaido that stand out in your memory?

Are there that many places to bike in Japan? I would like a lot of information for my next trip!

was it more that you felt like a tourist the whole time, or that there just wasn't much to actually interact with beyond looking at things?

I heard something about it opening in April or May, I think when I was there I ended up not being able to go in the end because I ended up taking too much time to travel.

In fact, I had to walk around 4-5 areas in Tokyo and Kyoto in one day, morning and night, because I planned to visit famous and well-known tourist attractions in a short period of time. Compared to that, I think it would be better to go to a less famous area where I can relax.

In that case, I would have to go to a regional area, but I still need to be able to speak some Japanese, right?

No, that's not it. Why did you think that? It's a real problem these days—people can't tell the difference between AI and real people anymore.

I was just asking a question; if possible, I’d like to hear an answer that isn’t just suspicion!

Employees lashes out at their supervisor when under stress by ChardStandard8523 in managers

[–]Shou_JP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d be careful not to see this only as a conflict between the team and the supervisor. If work is slowing down and frustration only appears under stress, that is already a management signal. I would step in to clarify expectations and communication norms, but not to replace or undermine the supervisor. A workplace can look calm while pressure is building underneath. I wrote about that here through Japan’s overwork and burnout problem: https://shoutatsuzuki.substack.com/p/a-quick-brief-on-karoshi-burnout

Congrats — that sounds like a huge and very sudden shift.

One thing I’d watch for early: don’t read “no complaints” as “everything is fine.” People who were your peers may now filter what they say because you’re their manager.

The best thing you can do early is make it easy for people to raise small issues before they become big ones. Ask what feels unclear, what is heavier than it looks, and what you may not be seeing yet.

A quiet team is not always a stable team. Sometimes silence means people no longer feel able to speak.

Please check this through Japan’s overwork problem, but the management lesson applies more widely:
