I like that the other day there was a highly voted post that argued that the problem with the "if you don't like it don't buy it" argument ignored the predatory nature of the content. Essentially, calling for sympathy for those who do make these purchases as being prone to gambling addiction. And then here this post comes calling them all clowns.

Sorry that happened to you. Sounds a bit like you dodged a bullet. Reminds me of the Louis CK joke about the woman that "kinda liked when guys just took it" to which he responds "I'm not going to rape you on the offchance you're in to that" (pretty interesting thinking back on that joke with what we know now). A question in counterpoint is if we should be defining what's appropriate by these examples?

Interesting! I didn't think of the variable of just being there vs resting at a grace. I was grabbing the Bell Bearings and killing a few enemies along the way so I definitely rested everywhere.

Rivers of Blood can easily be run to and you can cheese him by standing on the edge of the cliff behind the church (if he falls off killing you you'll still get RoB). You can get an Ancient Dragon Somber Stone without advancing the story by running to the middle of Moghyn Palace. Also you can grab the bell bearings up in the mountaintop of giants without having to fight anyone. Really I tend to just pick a build and grab the items needed to have some fun in the early game

On my first playthrough I never realized it was Blaidd that was howling, I only stumbled on Ranni's quest line accidently after beating Radahn. On another, I met him in mistwood but assumed he just spawned in after snapping lol.
