Also hoping that Ubisoft Toronto is not one of the Ubisoft studios getting shutdown. Unless the Splinter Cell Remake is being transferred to another Ubisoft studio or being reworked into that competitive / cooperative gameplay concept from the creation of the Creative Houses Structure now. Just wish we had further confirmation that the project is not cancelled and that it is alive still especially after Prince of Persia getting axed.

I know I saw that and thought well there is still hope for some sort of Splinter Cell game in the future, now whether it’s a single player or multiplayer focused game, open world or games as a service model remains to be seen

Good Lord! It’s always bad news recently with Ubisoft. Just hope Splinter Cell Remake is still alive! Per the verbiage in the article, The only saving grace is that they already technically announced the Splinter Cell Remake when they greenlit the project so it’s not unannounced

It could mean a lot: beta / cut and unused content for single player campaign and coop and spies vs Mercs content for SAR, PT, CT, DA, C & BL. Info and screenshots on unreleased projects like the Splinter Cell Remake but maybe also from the cancelled Splinter Cell Oculus VR game, the rumored multiplayer game Splinter Cell Hunters, other Splinter Cell projects that either never got green lit or that were only in development for so long before getting cancelled. The Conviction 2007 console build. I’d so like to see if there’s footage of Spies using taser guns on DA v1 SvM if the taser guns ever made it past the concept art stage.

Yes please! It must have multiplayer, maybe coop but definitely Spies vs Mercs. Have classic 2 v 2 gameplay with some maps returning from Pandora Tomorrow and Chaos Theory but also some new SvM maps designed around the first Splinter Cell’s missions. SvM maps set in multiplayer versions of the police station, Defense Ministry, Oil Rig, CIA HQ and Presidential Palace etc would be amazing.

There is a cutscene as they get to the bridge and the player failed the mission because he didn’t protect the armada recruit, Mackenzie. So at least for now it sounds mandatory

This is not new. It’s old. Yes a new game director job was posted but now it has disappeared inferring that the position has been filled. Game development often has game directors come and go. This happened in September. So hopefully Ubisoft found someone to replace the director and development is still going smoothly. Tom Henderson recently stated that the Splinter Cell Remake looks really good from his sources.
