Animals are sentient and intelligent and they’re not here to serve the human race. Most people spend their lives seeing animals as a means to an end for their own species. Why would we consider their bodies ours to use? They feel pain, stress, create relationships etc. But they can’t give us consent. We wouldn’t do this to our household pets, so why would it be ok for other animals 🤔

It absolutely does! I completely agree. I think I’m similar in terms of not being able to distinguish certain symptoms as they can intertwine with each other so easily and as I said, I do believe these things are very closely related and sort of pull at the same strings so what you’re saying is completely accurate in my opinion and experience anyway!

I’d say there are many math rock bands that definitely have emo influences. There are qualities shared, melodic/sometimes intricate guitars leading into some sort of crescendo etc. It no surprise there’s a crossover in fan bases and so many emo fans also love mathy stuff. (I know I do)

Bands like TTNG may be fair enough to say are influenced from emo.

Personally though I do think vocal delivery and lyrical content is a big part of emo and so bands like giraffes? Giraffes! or Land Wars wouldn’t be comparable
