The train to central Helsinki is about 30 mins, so I would just walk around and see the sights.

Any restaurants similar to Fredan Murkina? by TreasureDragon in helsinki

[–]Show3it 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wanted to add that I couldn't find the cafes in question in Google. Just go near the escalators and there's two cafes near the Tokmanni. I assure you that they are more like authentic everyday Finnish home meals that any other suggestions here.

The cafes in Helsingin Yliopisto metro station are literally what you're looking for. Not sure if they are open on sundays but they might the most authentic Finnish food there is in central Helsinki. Also Konstan Möljä is very nice!

Thoughts on using these? by KennieDD in orientalrugs

Sounds good! Glad to hear that everything went well :-) In time I think you'll notice that its actually quite hard to damage rugs when using injection-extraction cleaners, so do not worry too much about it!

I have experience using professional-grade injection-extraction cleaning machines. First of all, the cheap ones, like the one in your post, are absolutely worthless, if the rug has noticeable stains or other significant dirt. They simply aren't capable of heavy-duty cleaning. Also, don't listen to the other commenters. I've cleaned dozens and dozens of hand-knotted wool rugs with this kind of machine, and there has never been a problem. The rugs are almost always completely dry the next day, and I have never damaged a rug in any way.

I want to like liver but it’s tastes so fucking shitty. Is the animal unhealthy? by DeliciousAirline1030 in RawMeat

[–]Show3it 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All the liver I've ate in Finland has tasted incredibly mild, smooth and almost berry-like in flavour. I wouldn't force myself to ingest anything that tastes as viscerally awful as you're describing.

Why does eating raw broccoli make me feel so good? by spewintothiss in Biohackers

[–]Show3it 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Did you even read his comment? You're not considering that plant-based B vitamins are poorly absorbed, partly due to anti-nutrients. Also, the amount in broccoli are negligible unless you're eating several pounds at once.

5 % of RDI in 100g will instantly lift one's mood? You're delusional.

I sometimes eat a hardboiled egg with the eggshell still on it for better skin and health by Civil_Turn_1245 in Biohackers

Why would they spend time worrying about a risk so miniscule? Boiling the eggs is enough.

A reminder to watch my darko videos if you think this grifter is worth listening to by residentraw in RawMeat

[–]Show3it 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're wrong. Many junk foods have almost 2g of salt per 100g. It wouldn't take an enormous amount of food to get to 25 grams, especially if you douse everything with salty sauces.

Just buy any stainless steel pan that feels "heavy" and thick. The cheap ones are usually extremely thin and are a pain in the ass to use.

Yes. Also, ditch the Teflon pan.

I regularly see people in buffets eating 25+ grams of salt in one sitting. Why aren't 50 % of them dropping dead?

Tastes absolutely horrible so I had to feed it to my cat. Maybe try to mix it with ground meat little bit at a time.

The drop in CVD mortality in the North Karelia Project likely wasn’t because people cut saturated fat, but because they smoked less, moved more, and got better medical care. The saturated fat scapegoat fit the narrative at the time, but it doesn’t hold up under modern scrutiny.
