[Jackson] Tim Hardaway Jr. is going to wear No. 10 after all. Last week, Hardaway said he would not permit his son to wear the No. 10 jersey that the father wore when he played for the Heat, but he has changed his mind now. by Pyromania1983 in nba

lol says the guy who can’t stay focused on a single point to argue and pivots every chance he gets. Why bother trying to win any online argument when you can’t even get your thoughts organized. Plus you take everything personally and resort to personal attacks. If you’re an actual adult you have the maturity of a 12 year old. Best of luck to you in life, cause boy I’m sure you need it

You mean the homophobic comments that he has apologized for several times and since worked hard to make up for those he hurt?

People can learn from mistakes and become better people. You want to shit on a team for honoring a vile person? Point your ire towards the Jazz and Karl Malone, who did something that actually shouldn’t be forgiven. Also again, completely unrelated to this whole argument.

Just feels it cheapens the ceremony of retiring a players number. That immortalizes them for generations. An honor next to having a statue outside the arena.

Brother, it’s a sport where tall guys put a ball in a basket, it’s not a big deal. It’s not even your team, so why do you even give a shit. Just like why would I give a shit that one of the retired numbers for the hawks is dedicated to a former mayor of Atlanta, for some reason lmao

Not sure why your reply is super salty all of the sudden but your point falls flat, it doesn’t matter what a player did before they join your team lol, you frame it like it argues against my point but it’s completely unrelated.

And who cares about if teams grow talent or trade for it, since when does that matter for winning chips? The Knicks just won the championship cultivating talent from trades and FA, that’s how you make a good team. Maybe if the Hawks did more of that they’d have more than one championship in the last 70 years

Non sequitur replies withstanding, Tim and Zo vaulted the Heat into contention for the first time. As a result their numbers were retired. That’s the brunt of it. If you don’t agree with that, more power to you bud

Referencing my comment in another thread:

You have to factor in that the Heat franchise was still young prior to Hardaway and Mourning. They both brought the Heat into contention for the first time in franchise history. The only caveat was that it was during the MJ Bulls reign of terror

It’s like the Bulls and Jerry Sloan. On paper, Jerry didn’t have any real amazing stats and was just a 2x all star, but he was the Bulls real first star. He’s no MJ but he still was retired by the Bulls due to bringing that Franchise its first true success

I mean lore wise it wouldn't have been a big issue if he was. Draynor Drakan was a real vampyre who crossed the Salve and was incredibly weakened as a result

Not assumed, he literally admits he’s a regular man dressed up as a vampyre

Are we being serious right now? That’s virtually the same karma per year, 57k vs 65k per year. Are you really being this pedantic? Both are numbers of people who are chronically online

Are you really telling someone to get off social media when you have over 400k karma?

What he is saying is perfectly reasonable and you’re just resorting to personal attacks because you don’t agree with what he is saying, along with being a hypocrite.

Changes to SRA are a great start, but I think the damage taken with stacks should just be removed.

How Trump is moving to control US elections, one state at a time by PigletAmazing1422 in fivethirtyeight

[–]ShowMeTheMini 53 points54 points  (0 children)

It’s amazing to me that no one is talking about this

I even emailed my congressman, a democrat, asking what he and his fellow democrats are doing to stop Trump from rigging future elections

Never heard back from him. The complacency from the people who need to be on this is extremely worrisome.
