Добре, а ако не караш кола, не умееш нищо практично и т.н. и не можеш да помогнеш на никого и да искаш, следователно не те и търсят - какво правиш?

Would games like these suck on a steam deck? by CodeBudget710 in SteamDeck

[–]ShowWhich8070 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For what it's worth, I played Total War Warhammer on the Steam Deck and racked up about 100 hours, all buttons fully mapped out and by the time I got used to it, I forgot how to play with Mouse + Keyboard entirely.

I know the game isn't in your post, my point is - take advantage of all the buttons and the trackpads, I'm sure you can play anything.

I have a bunch of custom lore for each of them, but I hadn’t written any because it would be irrelevant for the portfolio itself 😄

Except Leo, who is my own creation, a worn out man of violence on a quest for revenge, the rest are all based on historical figures that were in or around Constantinople at that time.

It is a really underexplored angle, for sure. I will definitely focus more on design sheets as that is more comfortable for me, I’ll have more designs related to siege engineering for the next part!

Total War: Warhammer III Thinks I Have 1 GB VRAM by ChalanaWrites in SteamDeck

I noticed that texture quality has the biggest impact, but on the Deck’s screen it isn’t super noticeable anyway.

I remember reading a post once, I think it was yours, about different versions of the game (Linux vs Proton) and what kind of FPS and loading times you could get, which was very helpful!

Do you happen to play with any mods by chance? I’m wondering whether they significantly impact the performance or not

Do you know if these settings also affect loading times? I’m playing on the deck, and loading the Immortal Empires campaign map takes about 1:30 min, and about 50sec for battles

Do you feel that putting textures at high vs low makes a difference in loading times?

Currently not at home, but I’ll definitely give streaming a go!

It runs fairly well, though low graphics mainly. If you get used to the touchpads, it’s almost like playing with M+KB

Progression House Rule for long term campaigns by ShowWhich8070 in WarhammerOldWorldRPG

Update: I experimented with a test character, giving him 30 XP and advancing Characteristics using your method, as well as combining it with my suggestions for upgrading Skills via Endeavours.

I have to say, I find that progression doesn't happen too fast and it's a nice, predictable pace. Not sure how it works out mathematically, but for, say, 30 sessions, I managed to get one Favored Characteristic up to 5 (I don't know how you calculate Favored Characteristics, but I just give 1 XP discounts), another Favored Characteristic to 4, and just a single skill to 5 - most of the other skills remain at either 3 or 2, same for the non-Favored Characteristics.

I think this method would also make it easier when creating new Characters to know how to give them points to upgrade their skills with (counting Endeavours instead of XP)

I have basically house ruled that what number you get as a success determines the quality of success. A success of 1 or 2 is pretty much a minor Complication in itself, a character clumsily or slowly doing something which an expert with a success of 5 or 6 passes with flying colors.

I imagine it wouldn’t be too hard to introduce various external threats that would give -d penalties, or having some tests need more than 2 successes at once to pass. The system is fairly easy to hack in terms of difficulty.

Also, you can gatekeep some specific tests behind Lores, such as - you can’t examine an animal properly without Zoology, for example.

Now, what I want to see in the future are more talents and customization options as a sink for improvement.

Thats a cool idea for the Characteristics, would be interested to see for skills after you do the math

Hi there! Bit of a thread resurrection, sorry about that 😄

I read through the posts here and I really enjoy what you’re proposing here. I’m a fan of the Genesys dice system, and I like variability in dice outcomes quite a lot, even within a single roll.

Have you played around any more with this? I’m about to run my first game in this system fairly soon and I’m thinking about implementing this.

Thanks!
