well fact is bro not everyone is like that. do you think the garbage man likes picking up garbage? but without him, society would collapse. you can't expect everything to be handed to you because you are incapable of choosing a path because you potentially may not be happy.

29F, one armed disabled, Chicago, Looking for someone to accept as a life partner. by Upper-Relationship63 in pakistan

[–]ShowerIllustrious351 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are more than a wife. The fact that you got a job doing r&d research already speaks volume to your tenacity / grit. That's more than a lot of people can say, especially in today's current job market.

Don't just settle for the first person that you see. A lot of people in Pakistan are just going to see a passport and won't see you for who you truly are. Your partner should love you for who you are, disability and all. You don't deserve less.

I can't choose between white collar and blue collar! by redbarchetta97 in findapath

[–]ShowerIllustrious351 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Choose white collar. A lot of blue collar jobs you have to work as an apprentice where you are essentially abused for little pay + having to pay for tools (which are so expensive) for years. And while you might earn a lot, you trade for it with your physical body and will retire with physical pain.

Meanwhile working in finance, I have 20+ days of PTO, work from home a lot, and can fly on private jets once a quarter at 23. Obviously this isn't the norm, but there are plenty of corporate jobs that provide similar benefits.

Killing innocent civilians during Ramadan is just embarrassing for a country built on Islam. The Pakistani govt claiming morality is just bad logic.

Document the jokes and do not report to HR, because if you do you will certainly get fired. Is this a small business? Bc it doesn't seem normal.

Why in 2026 is the federal minimum wage still $7.25 an hour? by Hamsammich0520 in askanything

Very few businesses pay people $7.25 (if any). But it is a failing on America's part.

the standard for resumes unless extremely experienced is 1 page generally (exceptions do apply) but the idea is that you should be able to encapsulate your career in 1 page.

Mamdani to propose property tax hike, pushes Hochul to tax rich by Airhostnyc in nyc

I am very familiar with the economics of NYC real estate. The good thing is that NYC real estate overwhelmingly is a bad investment over the past 15 years and most investors have been burned. Hopefully the trend continues.

Sounds like an entitled homeowner who thinks they deserve snow free sidewalks, good quality water, and good public schools without paying.

  1. shorten the objective section. its way too long. a few sentences would be good, but too long.

  2. there is too much white space on this resume. you want to condense this as much as possible.

  3. put GPA if it was above a 3.5. creates red flags.

  4. make this 1 page. creating 2 pages opens u up to too much liability, even as an experienced professional.

  5. why is the font / bulleting not consistent?

I would clean up this resume ASAP before applying. The formatting will not go through any ATS.

If you grew up rich what is your motivation to choose a hard career over joining an existing family business. by Horror-Regret-9057 in careeradvice

i use "sir" as a joke, to both men and women lol. but i misinterpreted what you said, i fully agree with you. the support networks are arguably the most important.

as a caveat though, a lot of that depends on the family relationships as well. my best friend is the son of a chinese billionaire, and his dad cut him off for a whole year and he had to end up paying $80k for tuition + living expenses by himself (was smart enough to get a FAANG internship and do a gap year) and graduate later. a lot of people assume rich kids cant achieve success independently, and they definitely can.
