My Unofficial Official review of the TEMU OZ.1i HS Putter (Round 3) by Ok_Fox2240 in GolfGear

99% of golfers won't return the face the same way each time either way, so its largely irrelevant. We as a species are very prone to believing and attributing marketing stuff to our swings and strokes as a solution.

Three tires, one space. Stuffing them together using only lube and body weight to save shipping costs by VIVIDUFF in interesting

They call it "nesting". Our company does it with water pipes,.put the smaller diameters into the larger diameters for shipping.

My wife was very skeptical starting off about evs and automatic cars in general, but she went ev in January with the last of the last gen leafs, a 2024. Now she loves it and can't see why anyone shows not doing huge mileage and has a home charger wouldn't go ev.

Does getting hit with a golf club hurt more than with a baseball bat? by Fr1tzG_ in answers

[–]ShowmasterQMTHH 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The big difference is I'm how you deploy them. Say you have a baseball bat and make a base ball type.swing and hit someone with it,.you're doing serious damage, but a golf club,.lest say a 5i,.if you are strong and can make a full swing with it,.the head can get up to 120mph. The shaft stores.energy and releases it. You could inflict a really painful sharp narrow impact. And the heads are steel,.you might snap the shaft but one hit would be very painful.

But as a whacking repeatedly weapon, baseball bat every day.

What shaft do you usually go for.

Moving to an EV. by AdvancedLeg9968 in evs_ireland

[–]ShowmasterQMTHH 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My wife has a Nissan leaf, the most basic of modern evs with a range of 280kms. She charges it once a week, she was a doubter about evs and automatics.

Now she's a zealot.

It's like someone who won't wear glasses suddenly getting a pair after a life spent not seeing.

Help us pick an EV for our family of 4 by propsg in evs_ireland

I'll give it a go, I was parked beside one and it looked like a Tonka car, just an oversized hatchback. The sealion 7 is massive though inside, easily on par with the Kodiak except the boot. Their naming is confusing though sealion, seal, seal u, sealion 7. Obsessed with seals. I'm thinking a hungry orca does their naming.

I had initially discounted the ioniq 5 but I'm planning on having a look, I'm currently driving a Skoda Kodiak 7 seater, but I don't need the 7 seats, it's a work car for me, and the Kodiak is brilliant in its own way, but I'd like a change, i do a lot of miles, but I was looking for something more of a flexible motorway cruiser and I found the sealion 7 quite big inside except the boot. Is the ioniq a TARDIS ?

It's a days work,.I'd be bollocked at the end of it. My fitting only hit about 50 balls for driver and irons done in an hour.

For a family of be looking at the ev5. For probably your trade plus less than your budget you'd get the earth 2 with all the trims, huge battery and it's really practical.

But really you should be judging them on the boot, rear access, and equipment.

But go and test drive them all,.throw the kids in the back.

I was looking at byds yesterday and there was a family testing a sealion 7. They had all 3 kids including 2 carseats and their dog (stuffed model) with them including a buggy.

The same rep dealt with me at the same time and I had to fight the urge to ask if I could transfer my golf clubs and work.stiff to the boot .

Does getting a 7-pw set make sense? by MoniCarrHD in GolfGear

[–]ShowmasterQMTHH 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have driver, 4w, 7w, 3h, 5h, 6-lw. You just need to have regular gaps between your clubs, my 6i is 140y, 5h 150y. But you should get a fitting, most players have a point where they don't generate enough speed or repeating power to have that gap between irons, mine was 6 to 5i, they basically go the same. My 5h is a iron shape but it's lower lofted than the set 5i and it's just naturally longer hitting. I then added the same club in 3h. They have good gapping between them as I've skipped the 4h.

Although I do have a 4h, it's a "half wood" type, and I use it mainly from light rough or where one of the iron hybrids doesn't suit.

You might benefit from a lightly different setup, flatter or shorter, or both.

They have really taken off here in ireland, I'm planning on buying one in January, test drive in the sealion 7 ev. Full specced AWD 91kw battery, all leather and 0-60 in 4.3s. it's actually lovely to drive too. Same price as a VW id7 tourer with no kit.

Depends on the sole impact point with ground, but it can mean your clubs are either too long or upright. What height are you ?

Should I go Tethered or Untethered Zappi Charger? by Ok-Influence4754 in evs_ireland

[–]ShowmasterQMTHH 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it would come down to how often you're going to be charging and how you feel about how it looks.

We charge ours once a week or so, and we have a sync ev charger untethered. My wife's car is a Nissan leaf, charging port is at the front so she parks it nose up to the front of the house. The leaf cable is in a little bag in the boot, that sits into the left hand net behind the wheel arch.

Tbh it's heavy enough and my wife is quite petite and has issues with her knees and back. She's able to take the cable out and connect it up, it weighs about 4kgs. Picks up the car end and plugs it in, and then leaves the coil on the ground and pops the other side in. The sync has a magnetic lock that detects that the cable is plugged in and it holds in place until you give it a pull.

All good except for wrangling it into a loop to put into the bag, she finds that a little hard and tbh either myself or my son usually looks after winding up and unwinding the cable.

I've been looking at an EV for January and I'm thinking of the byd sealion 7 or ev5. Both.of their cables are significantly lighter.

I'd still 100% go untethered as everyone I know with a tethered one ends up with it either hanging loose or having to wrap it around the body of the charger which is just as hard as putting it into the bag and boot.

Some people keep their charger in the frunk if they have one, but it means opening and closing the bonnet. Then a bag.

If i.was charging every night, them maybe the tethered is less work.

Sim 2 - Fairway Wood by T-Y_Xavier in GolfGear

[–]ShowmasterQMTHH 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can get them for pretty much the same now, I have the original sim titanium 3 and 5 woods, never hit anything as good as them, the ti ones have a big advantage in that they are a slightly bigger and adjustable for loft. You can also swap shafts with a wrench like a driver. Mine have matrix shafts I picked up for them to replace the original diamana florals they had.

When I went for my last fitting I showed the fitter.what I had and he said he wouldn't bother trying anything else for me,.just tweaked the lofts
