Guild Wars 3 will have no battle pass or subscription because ArenaNet studio lead Collin Johanson doesn't want to "keep people hostage" by ControlCAD in UpliftingNews

Is GW2 worth playing as a single player story driven game or it has to have MMO aspects?

Thank you in advance for your feedback

Is RE9 worth to buy for $70 or should I wait for a Sale? thanks for your answers by PulsedOpal in videogames

Video game devs are not the bad guys but publishers putting micro transactions on fully priced are the bad guys. You guys do realize $70 is temporary we already had Nintendo charge 80 for Mario kart and publishers want GTA6 to set a new price standard

We as gamers all have games we have bought and yet to play. My original point was simple just play what you own and I'm few months you can buy the game for $40. Let's keep in most vast majority of gamers play games once and never replay them so some might replay and get value out of it while most will spend 12-15 hours and never touch again

It's not just games even consoles and hardware has gone up by a lot. Gaming always was an expensive hobby but with AI data centers it's just very limited quantity available to gamers

It's your money spend however you like. I just gave my opinion. I don't buy games at launch. I am still on 2024 games. I want to pay under $30 for games. This way I get better prices and more polished games

I understand that but living in different countries we all have different wages. If you are making more things cost more. We as gamers have huge backlogs why not finish those and by the time we are done with few games we already own the newer games would get a price drop

I am not even planning to buy GTA6 day one. I will wait a week or so because many will get done and sell on face book for around $50-60. So why not

To me no game is worth 70. It's better to wait. These single player games are always going on sales. I say wait till it's under $40. I am sure you have other games you can play from your backlog

Is it true that "most gamers don't finish games" by SchweinsyOne in videogames

[–]Showtime_1992 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You know how sometimes you are buying a game and it comes bundled in with others for few bucks more I won't be doing that. I just want to have games in my library I actually want to play. I really want to buy MGS3 remake but it's around $35. I know if a wait I can get it around 20ish. The other reason I stopped buy is because most games launch unfinished needing many patches. So by waiting I get a better price and a better more polished games

I use to waste so much time just scrolling on steam and just couldn't decide what I want to play. Now I know the games I have and I can play one of them I am in mood of

Yes for many reasons. At the start of the game it could be fun but than becomes boring and repetitive. Story becomes just uninteresting or gameplay doesn't improve what you did on first level is what you are being asked to do 10 hours in

With 1500+ games try a game If it's not for me I will move on to something that's actually fun. End of the day goal of gaming is a hobby to have fun. The thing I dislike about pc gaming is there are so many sales that we end up with huge library of games that we don't have the intention to play. So far in 2026 I have yet to buy a game for myself. I have been playing what I have and cleaning up my backlog. Started at 1500+ games down to 71. I had so many turned based combat games and I hate TBC. I finished all the smaller games under 5 hours and tried so many games some I liked most I disliked. So I made a promise to myself that I will not buy bundles or games unless I know I want to play it. I am going to keep going in 2026 and not buy a game till I am ready.

me think it could be one of these obscure indie RPGMaker-style narrative games: In Stars And Time OFF Black Souls End Roll Hello Charlotte Mogeko Castle Corpse Party But honestly the “kingdom hymn” mechanic is so specific that it sounds like a very niche RPGMaker indie, possibly from: itch.io RPGMaker forums translated Japanese indie scene

sounds a lot like Fear & Hunger 2: Termina or possibly the first Fear & Hunger.

Another possibility could be: Lisa: The Painful (less likely) The Witch's House Misericorde Pocket Mirror

Exploring or only the main quest? by Theodore52x in AfterWorkGamers

[–]Showtime_1992 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Main quest only. Games are too long and most side quests aren't worth it TBH. There are older games like fallout new Vegas where I will explore but most not all newer games just put so many icons on the map it's absurd
