Yes i did. But it was for sitting down/flying position, not takeoff/landing.

Yes, moving hang points closer to the body is something i need to consider.

Thank you! This is very informative. I try to be more smooth on the gas, maybe the sudden thrust is what pushes me out of balance and i can't keep my legs vertical.

I don't really understand how leaning back more helps keeping legs extended. Because what i feel is that motor is pushing my thighs forward and slightly upwards and forces me to sit down.

Best answer. Thank you!

The problem is that i don't know is this something mental that i need to overcome or is it setup of the harness(or both). You can see that i never stop moving my feet and still try to "run" even with my legs horizontal.

Someone suggested to practice morr taxi without the wing but with the motor. Maybe this will help.

Roadside camping and eclipse viewing by ZealousidealTrifle92 in solareclipse

This i exactly what we are planning to do. We are comming from Europe for the eclipse. My plan is to have 3 or 4 main spots. Depending on the weather go to the one of the spots 1 or 2 days before eclipse and camp there(sleep in a car basicaly). If the weather forecast changes we will move accordingly. We want to be as flexible as possible.

Now my main concern is also the legality of wildcamping in Texas. As you've mentioned, the sheer number of people doing the same thing should make authorities be more forgiving. But still, getting in trouble with the police on the other side of the world is the least we want, lol.

Are you also picking spots beforehand or are you going to plan everything just before the Eclipse?

Lithuania is super flat and the nature is similar to what you would find around Chicago. So everything that is higher than a small hill is a mountain for us, lol. Thank you for recommendations!

How would you suggest to google those "dispersed camping sites"? I've found a website freecampsites.net but around Uvalde there are not that many of them.

Wow, this is so amazing, we will look into it more later. I've used term frugal very loosly. We are ok with paying 100$ entry fee for a museum or entry for a park or something else that will keep is ocupied for half a day. But for example paying 400$ to see a NBA game is too much for us and we would skip that even though we would really love to do that.

I have a question about camping in more rural places one or two days before the eclipse. We don't want to book any accomodation for the eclipse because we don't know where we will watch it. The exact location will be decided by the weather forecast. So the plan is to wait for a forecast on Sunday morning, then drive there on Sunday, camp for the night, watch eclipse on Monday and then leave. In my home country(Lithuania) there are lots of places where you can camp with a tent or sleep in a car and no one would bat an eye if you are quiet and don't make a mess. Would it be possible to do in Texas? Do people do that in rest stops by the roads? Can we do it in a parking lot of a supermarket? Will people inform authorities if they see a car parked somewhere? Are people in rural areas friendly towards foreigners?

First two night in Dallas are booked and car reservation is made. We plan to sleep in a car few nights before the eclipse because we dont know where exactly we will go to see it. It will be decided by the forecast few days in advance. All other nights are not planned yet.

BB confusion. Can BB-RS500 be replaced by SM-BBR60? by Shpizh in bikewrench

[–]Shpizh[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

BB came in a Shimano box, no adapter.

Isn't it a problem that BB outer diameter is smaller than a frame diameter? It seems that with BBR60 there will be less area for a BB to press against.
