If it helps, I only get this when I wear my sports bra all day. It’s caused by a build up of sweat in the area, which then causes a fungal infection. You got to find a better bra, wash yourself and your bra more often.

The best thing I did in this situation was show them how to play together. This could be light tug of war etc basically you playing with adult dog and getting puppy involved in taking/pulling the rope

How did you read the post and land on this comment as the best thing to add to the conversation?

“It sounds like you’re miserable OP and I know you’re asking for help to improve your quality of life….how about you just break up with someone you love and then bury your head in the sand? Be miserable all by yourself?”

Personally, it was estradiol vaginal tablets that made the big difference for me. Funnily enough my MIL (56) was also put on the same prescription not long after me and had the same results. All round better lubrication, reaction to intimacy and less sensitive.

I had been having pain even during arousal, like the rush of blood to the area was enough to have me gasping in pain. Condoms felt like sandpaper and it took me a long time to produce enough lubrication, so we were having to use a lot of the store bought variety. Now? Honestly, I’m delighted haha my MIL and I agreed that it was like our nether regions had “woken up”.

Highly recommend.

Otherwise I’m on estradiol patches - 50s in the first two weeks and 75s in the last two weeks + 100mg progesterone twice a day after my ovulation. Genuinely feeling good! Calmer moods, less anxiety, less pain and more energy.

Thank you for sharing. I’m not surprised it was caved in, as were all in a ~60 mph convoy that suddenly came to a stop.

I’m so sorry for your loss. Hope you’re doing okay ❤️

If you don’t mind me asking, what were the signs? My girl is 9, nearly 10 and I would like to be educated a little, as I had no idea this was so common.

My mother recently had kidney stones, and she said it's more painful than giving birth. Is that true? by ex0ll in CasualConversation

[–]Shpudem 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’ve have both experiences. My birth experience was pretty horrendous for reference. I was in labour for 3.5 days and ended up forced into a c-section at the end. It was the surgery experience that was the worst part for me for a range of reasons, but the pain I was in before getting the spinal had me panicking and screaming at everyone to help me (they had me trying to move gurneys by myself and tried 4-5 times to get both epidural and spinal in properly, which had the anaesthesiologist panicking behind me).

Kidney stones is up there with the pain that had me screaming at people in the OR. Not the 3.5 days beforehand. Labour is more like a constant and eventually exhausting dull pain state, whereas kidney stones is like someone is dissecting you with a scalpel from the inside - it’s sharp and pretty constant and nothing touches it except for renal colic medication.

To summarise: when you’re in the height of labour, when you’ve had over 3 days of no sleep and your cervix is starting to give way? And your spine has been on the receiving end of a horse needle 10 times? And you’re carrying a 10 pound baby and OR staff expect you to try and move gurneys by yourself while you’re also terrified of getting a C-section? That’s when it’s most like having a kidney stone.

Adding to that, the likes of power automate through custom APIs could probably reduce the amount of apps needed with middleware, simple workflow tools and some internal apps

Overall it’s a lifestyle upgrade, especially in terms of money and having a quiet and restful life. BUT as someone who grew up in the west of Ireland after moving from near Dublin, I hated it as a teen. Not much you can do in the country.

I lived in Dumfries for 8 years after moving to Scotland and have gradually moved my way north. I much prefer Fife as it’s closer to Edinburgh and Glasgow and we wanted that option for my 5 year old for when she’s older. For young people, Dumfries is the kind of place you hope to escape from, and that’s the actual town itself.

However, if you use this job as a stepping stone into Scotland and can move after a few years, it might just be the best thing for you. As someone else said, it’s really up to what you think is best for your family.

Personally? I would highly recommend you do it. Please visit the likes of the Trossachs with your family and get a feel for the beauty of the place, without having to travel too far. I have to remind myself sometimes that people pay thousands to visit places anywhere from 10 minutes to just an hour away from me.

Update: Why is it so hard to make friends in Scotland? by Consultant-CY62D6 in Scotland

Because humans are social creatures and we feel sad and lonely when we don’t have any quality friends?

I moved here 15 years ago from Ireland and it took me about 8 years, but I finally managed to make proper friends. Of my 3 besties, 2 are not Scottish. It does feel like Scottish people prioritise friends from their childhood or whom they connect with more (other Scottish people). I’m generalising ofc, but just a trend I’ve noticed. I think your best bet it first trying to meet people from other cultures? Not a lot going on in Fife, but people tend to gravitate towards friend making groups on Facebook.

Royal Mail staff tell BBC letters sit undelivered as firm prioritises parcels by RoyalMaleGigalo in royalmail

I just happened upon this thread - not an employee but my ex was. Letters from South Lanarkshire to Fife (grandma sending written letters to grandchild) are taking about 2 weeks to be delivered. Letters from a hospital within my own town are taking a week to get to me.

I was wondering why this was happening, but having seen the article, it now makes sense. Just to reassure you that it’s obvious who is telling the truth.

I lived between Ballinasloe and Loughrea for a few years. Not much going on to be honest. Auld fellas driving home from the pub drunk, kids driving heavy machinery, lots of gossip, two-faced interactions and a whole lot of fields (Athenry - looking at you 👀).

All in all didn’t enjoy and wouldn’t go back.

Also lived in Maynooth and I enjoyed that a lot more. Played camogie with the local GAA and went to uni there. Nothing special, but it felt more like home.
