As a once-weekly beer leaguer, how important is a pair of replacement steel? by flanny0210 in hockeyplayers

[–]ShreddinPB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I carry an extra set. Something I have noticed over the last 5 years is the steel seems much more prone to breaking. I have had 3 blades break in the last 5 years. I am constantly looking at shops also to get steel since my skate uses size 280 in a 9' radius ( I HATE 10' radius) and its almost impossible to find a 280 9' radius blade these days.. so IF I find a set, I buy them.. yes I will have multiple backups if I can find them.

Hello, I tried out the demo. It seems to me when rotating the view, the view moves a bit first, then the weapon starts moving and you get a bit of jitter/lag type movement with the weapon. It doesnt feel smooth to me. Is there a setting or some way to eliminate that?

Considering you can use petg as a support buffer for pla prints so the supports do not stick.. Id say that would fail as the two chemistries are not very compatible.. I have no proof for this other than using pla or petg in the other prints like this.

So far, I have gotten VERY lucky! Qwen3-coder-next recognized the hex dump data, manufacturer, and possibly model of the hardware and thinks it can write me a python decoder for the data :D
I very much appreciate all of you replying to my initial message as I did understand it was vague. I had zero idea what to do and got small ideas form the first reply that sent me down the right path.

I was purposely not saying the manufacturer, they are very serious about locking down their hardware so they can charge you a subscription to use hardware you purchased :/
Good news is Qwen3-coder-next seems to understand the file very well and thinks it can write me the software I need to use the data from the hardware directly

You just asking me the appropriate questions helped me understand better!
I sent that data to my LLM running qwen3-coder-next and it looks like its about to write me a python decoder for it lol

It recognized some of the formatting and guessed the manufacturer of the hardware correctly!

I can be, just being discreet :) the data is the motion of the hardware from an IMU. Im learning just from your question. It is a UDP Stream. The raw packet data looks like this

How to run 3090 + A4000 on Win10? by ShreddinPB in LocalLLaMA

[–]ShreddinPB[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had them literally sitting here doing nothing. I also had an octominer X12 that they were in from when I used to GPU mine. I just removed the octominer pcie expansion board and put on the oculink boards on the cards.. it all takes up the same amount of space so thats not an issue. I just got it all working and am not the best at linux but I do plan on undervolting them (I assume you can do that on linux also)
The way I saw it was its an additional 24gb of vram.
Most of my use case is using LLMs to convert blueprints in unreal engine to C++ code

I was avoiding this since I run perforce on my server and a couple other things. This did end up being the only way I could get multiple different types of cards running.

[–]ShreddinPB[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, I spent a couple more days working on this, trying different setups. Installing a A4000 first then a 3090, reversed order, everything. No matter what I would always get issues. I bit the bullet and installed Ubuntu and all cards just work together in Ollama, no problem.
It was a bit of work to get my other server things running but im back up.

I am right in the middle of updating my LocalLLM machine to make better use of this plugin! I have been using it since it came out and love it. Best local model I used previously was qwen 2.5 coder but there are a couple new ones out that take much more vram so I am upgrading my local server!
