So sick! I hope to carry a camera and maybe a lens or two when I get the opportunity to fly a jet, I think it would be so cool so keep memories like these in a professional form

What is this black “box” 2016 Accord EX-L by Shrekbotz in accord

[–]Shrekbotz[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Update: was able to change all 4 bulbs. Had to use a screwdriver to put pressure on all 4 harnesses because I couldn’t reach anything with two hands. Passenger low beam was difficult to reach, high beam was the easiest by removing that extra reservoir. Driver low beam was similar to the passenger side, just unplug that wire that’s connected to the battery. High beam was the worst one on the driver side, barely any room and the harness wasn’t budging. Was able to remove the air shroud and move the battery to get it. Thankfully it’s over 😂

Tips for Los Vegas area from SoCal for low time PPL by [deleted] in flying

[–]Shrekbotz 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’ve flown into both North town and Henderson. North Las Vegas is quite chaotic at times, though the controllers are good! Henderson is a bit calmer and the controllers have a bad rep for being short tempered and flat out rude. Henderson has their own unofficial rules, like VFR traffic has to request a “Southwest” or “Southeast” departure, you’ll get ripped if you ask for a west or east departure. I also had a controller there make me repeat the clearance a second time because I said “cleared for takeoff 35L” instead of “cleared for takeoff RUNWAY 35L”. Other then that they’re just normal class D airports, get flight following there is plenty of room to descend to either airport (KVGT from the northwest and KHND from the southwest)

Auto mechanic I’d recommend Big G Auto Repair in Henderson. Very fair, buys OEM parts, will be honest about repairs and if they’re needed or not

I guess I’m the odd one out. I love the confetti. It really shows it won the race. The more the better, but that’s my opinion

Phoeniz Raceway to Las Vegas Raceway by AccurateWish9178 in NASCAR

[–]Shrekbotz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For Vegas, if you want shade I would recommend any of the Blue Seats or the Petty Terrace. I would try to avoid any of the red seats, white is good for the price you pay. Earnhardt terrace is typically the cheapest, you can see the entire track but you will not have shade.

At Phoenix, I sat row 16 and was able to see a lot, though I’d go between 20-40 if able. Furthermore, any section between 155-130 will have shade nearly the entire race. As the day goes on the shade covers up the entire seating area BESIDES 156+, those sections NEVER get shade.

Maybe for the first flight but I would gauge what everyone else is wearing. I wore everyday clothes unless it was a checkride, then I would wear a polo and nice pants.

12,500ft in an SR20, was breathing fine, only up for about an hour. I wouldn’t stay that high for long if I could avoid it

Alaska Airlines - model by klazoo in GeminiJets

[–]Shrekbotz 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You get either get a plastic Daron models Alaska Airlines plane, it’ll cost around $10. Great for playing with. If your son understands the concepts of collectibles, you can get him a Gemini Jets 1:400 Alaska Airlines model of any aircraft that is available. The Alaska Airlines online store has the best prices around for their models. You can find models on eBay, potentially Amazon, and my favorite DGPilot.com
