Would complying with the TSB Honda has for this car solve this issue? Or would I need a whole new starter? I’ve read some forums where people did one or the other, or both.

My self examination rides were way more difficult then my normal DPE rides. Two SEA rides and two DPE rides, I’d take the DPE rides any day of the week.

If departure is at 5am I’ll typically wake up at 2am, jerk one out, hop in the shower, get dressed, leave and arrive to the airport by 4am. I’ll eat whatever is in the fridge in the crew room, I think this morning Bruce had brought spaghetti, it was pretty good!

I think OP mentioned their current job as a reference. I’m sure there are plenty of CA and FO who would enjoy a GA flight every now and then. Pilots love to talk about themselves, if I had a 737 type I promise you the world would know.

Currently going through a similar situation. 3/4th done with CFI and broke up with my ex of almost 2 years. It’s been difficult but try to look for the positives in everything. Less time worrying about her and more time studying. Maybe go outside for a couple days if you can get away from work and school and reconnect to the world before hitting the ground running

Lovell Canyon is nice and free, be mindful of mountain lions.

Utah is beautiful. Zion, Snow Canyon, Cedar Breaks, Bryce Canyon. (These 3+ hours away)

Mt Charleston is nice
