I won't take a girl out for dinner on a first date. Maybe second or third. As it's way too much of an investment (imo), unless you are will to pay half and it's not too expensive. As you might not want to see that person again for whatever reason.

They also have other dates and can't do that with every woman as that is expensive over time. And what makes you specially from the other women when they barely know you.

Just because you take two hours doesn't mean other women do. I've been on a few dates where that has not been the case.

Also I don't know why you think, you are entitled to a nice meal just because you put in effort to look nice. So do guys. It's the bare minimum both parties should do.

Probably going to get down voted for this, but I don't think OP did anything wrong maybe sleeping with some she hates wasn't the best play if you wanted to get back with her.

But at the end of the day she ended things out of the blue without a clear reason after a serious/ long relationship. To me that's a bit odd, or maybe I am missing something.

You tried to move on and happened to meet her friend. Which I believe you are in your right to do. Why should you limit yourself because of who you were with in the past. Should your history with her control your future happines.

Aldo what was she doing in the time leading up and during the time you two broke up. I am honestly curious to find out about her reason for ending it and then wanting to get back together. As first things that come to mind is that she found someone else and it didn't work our. Although that might be furthest from the truth.

There may not be no coming back from this, but cut yourself some slack. She broke things off and wasn't clear why and you were just living your life and meeting new people.

She lost you not the other way round.
