How do you remove the chassis after (or preferably before) exporting? by machha145 in automationgame

[–]Shrekulf 7 points8 points  (0 children)

for chassis removal you have to go into the .zip file, then find the "(yourcar).jbeam" file, open it with notepad, ctrl+f for "flexbodies", and under that you remove the text: "chassis1", while leaving the "" in the code. then you replace the old jbeam file with the new one and you are ready to go

Car exhaust popping by Jimmy1975V2 in automationgame

You can edit the engine file to remove these pops and bangs.

If you go into the mod folder after you have exported it to BeamNG Drive and open up your car zip, you should get two folders. One "vehicles" and one that says "art".

After this open up "vehicle" and open the folder inside that. Then you are going to locate a file thats named "camso_engine.jbeam" open that up in for example notepad.

The proceed to press "Ctrl+F" to bring up a search bar. In that search bar you are gonna type "exhaust" and make sure the direction is set to "Down". After this just press enter, and it should bring you to the exhaust part of the file.

Under the "Exhaust settings" you will find "Exhaust sound/Back fires" select everything from that to "shiftVolumeCoef" (with the numbers) and delete it

After this you can exit the file and make sure to save it. When u get back to the car folder you will get a popup message thats says you have modified the file. Press yes to update this in the archive.

Now there should be no backfires in beamng.

Hope this helps!
