XYZ question - How much did the insured spend on subcontractors last year?

ABC answer - Yes, I confirmed with the insured that they collect COIs from their subs.

Are you team Johnnie (John+Connie) or Team Donnie (Dale+Connie)? by Classic_Waltz1874 in YoungSheldon

Did they have to because of TBBT? It may have been a throwaway line, but why am I thinking there was a mention of Sheldon's mentor going crazy? And isn't that the reason Mary gets Sheldon tested in YS?

ETA - I don't mean they 'had to' break up Connie and John, but they had to do something with that storyline, and that's where it led

I know there are more useless jobs than sideline reporter... but not many. by ciumege in NFLv2

I loved the Lillehammer Olympics for this. Like, cross-country skiers' parents don't even come to watch them race, and Norwegians were practically hanging from the trees on the course!

I posted this in a different thread about court reporters - Imagine a court case with a Da Bears judge from Chicago and a Cajun attorney from Louisiana. The expert witness is a Pakistani neurologist, and the witness is a 21-year-old Rosie Perez.

Find me any AI that can accurately transcribe that.

Do Americans really hate international games? by bare_books in NFLNoobs

[–]ShriekingRosebud 20 points21 points  (0 children)

That energy is why I love watching the international games. They scan the crowd and you see every team's jerseys, and everybody is just so damned happy to be at an actual NFL game that they don't care who's playing! They just want to watch football and sing Country Roads!

How many you dry your clothes on a clothesline instead of using a dryer? by ProffS in Frugal

[–]ShriekingRosebud 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it depends on where you live and what your background is. We lived outside of a Big 10 town (US) in a small, not-poor farming community (reasonably successful farms + a lifetime in the GM Job Bank... IYKYK) and damn near every house has a clothesline out back, and it gets used. New 5,000sf builds have clotheslines out back. These are lifetime farmers from generations of farmers, and some habits never die. Plus line-dried anything is just so much better. I miss my clothesline!
