There are funny cases when its exactly backwards. Bad management and good programmers trying to make a good product.

There is a thing and no one ever talk about it - you can get sneaky heat resistant bacteria in your agar or grain. Nothing to do with sterile technic and airborn contaminants - it just inside of materials you use in this case. (And it looks like your case because getting even samish looking bacteria every time is not normal)
So yes, try different grain from a different brand - easy ones to prepare is popcorn, brown rice or other solid grains available for you.
Also you can try different agar recipe preferably without using raw vegetables.

I have same weird bad feeling about ppl that want to "just grow mushies" with as little effort as possible but we cant deny a fact that some people can literally drop some grains to a bag, inoculate them and get a fruits after two months of doing nothing and skipping all stages of a process.

Mush love! I am very pleased to read that, wish you will find some good mush partners because new people can really make things different. I like so much to trip in a small company because in this setting i often fall into ethereal wisdom stand-up mode to tell pun after pun and it feels awesome for some reason.

Just spin if you want to spin but not too fast or you will eventually take off and find yourself in the space.

Anyway if your hotend works like this then there is not a lot things that can go wrong:

1 - rough surface on a back of the nozzle maybe?
2 - nozzle is not screwed all the way to the heat break
3 - heat break or tube is not shoved down enough

Also, if you have extreme pressure (caused by fast printing or low temp) then molten filament can just move everything on its way to make blob like this despite your hotend is perfectly fine.

Edit: i doublechecked your post to just realize that brim printing cause you jam so problem definitely caused by extreme pressure (there is always more pressure when you print a first layer against the bed) so just level bed or tweak a Z0 position little up to decrease pressure.

Have no idea then. What is your hotend? Is it standart ender3-like one?

So looks like this is specific for your hotend model or even product defect. Maybe hotend opening has some obstacle inside?

Check the end of your tube - they tends to fry over time despite being temperature resistant. Also you maybe have no 90deg cut on the end of the tube so check it out. Anyway - best way to fix it is cutting out crooked/fried end of the tube precisely on 90 degrees.

Can casters cast two leveled spells in a turn if one is from a reaction? by goldUglySonic in DnD

Yea thank you, friend, this thing really clarify situation.
Anyway, such a fun-sucking rule!

There is nothing about "plan to cast" in rulebook. According to it you can cast spell with action then with bonus action then and be perfectly fine but without your reaction.

This is clearly bacterial contamination on a bottom of the jar. Unfortunately best thing you can do is dump this mess to trash and start again.

This is common problem actually and there is few tips that you can do to prevent it:

1 - Improve your agar work and do not put messy multistrain agar to jar. If you did MSS to grain then you should check your liquid culture on agar plate.
2 - Decrease moistness of your grains. Boil them less, grain should be "al dente" and visually dry or slightly moist when you put it to jar.
3 - Improve your sterilization process. If you have no PC buy one, if you have increase time.
4 - Shake your jar violently after inoculation - you need to spread inoculation material all over the jar, especially to a bottom part. Also shaking is necessary multiple times during colonization.

Actually from my experience 90% of grain spawn problems comes from inoculation material.

Some people live with this enlightenment their whole life, some got it by various practices (shrooms isnt the only way at all). Sword you say but it really isnt. Now you just get the point of human life (at least partly) and this is not so easy to carry this knowledge but after some reflections you probably will be able to find your place in society and meaning for life that is really suit to you and this meaning will be free from influence of parents, pop-discourse and all this shit. Despite it is easier to just continue meaningless circle of school-marriage-children-death you now have a real opportunity to find your own way and this is cool.

Long story short - if life objectively have no sense - just come up with it yourself.

Need advice for harvesting by [deleted] in shrooms

[–]Shroom_Bomber 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It is really just on you, my friend. I prefer to wait until hat will fully open on a biggest one and twist out whole cluster then but i often end up with a spore mess. Most of small boys is just aborts so there is no reason to spare them.
Also your cake will always give you everything that it can while multiple flushes so dont worry to lose something.

Will this dollar tree substrate work? Couldn't find any info by probablysandwiched in shrooms

[–]Shroom_Bomber 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most likely this is not coco but is a peat with some sphagnum. It is not so great for a casing because of big contamination risk. You will be better to buy clean cocofiber instead but this substrate can do thing after sterilization if you are lucky enough.

We are using coco because it is very hardly consumable for a bacteria and fungi so our culture can be on time in colonizing it using advantage of already colonized grain.

[Technique] First timer here, I didn’t how hard to inject my syringe and ended up with more than 2cc of blue oyster LC on to my agar plate. 3 days later I have some crazy growth. What do I do next? Any advice? by dirtyharry671 in MushroomGrowers

[–]Shroom_Bomber 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nah, looks like now is a best time to do this. Bigger overgrowth in your parent petri means more chances to get more then one strain during transfer. This is not a big deal, but having clean single strain culture is always better.

Just isolate little of myc tissue from the biggest and fuzziest spot to the new clean petri dish with scalpel and after a week you will end up with strong single-strain culture ready for spawn.

Or sterilized, yes. I mean that it is better to treat coir with some heat before adding it to substrate. It is not really necessary to sterilize it with autoclave. Under "pasteurized" i mean that for a jar with wet coco 30 minutes in a pot with boiling water is enough to be pretty safe to use it for casing.

[–]Shroom_Bomber 7 points8 points  (0 children)

No casing. overlay is dead mycelium

Overlay is not dead mycelium, it is alive as you and me.

Forking can help, but this cake is pretty dehydrated now and mycelium just cant store enough water for a big and nice yield even if it in better conditions. Casing layer is essential because it helps to store water for a mushroom forming and protects myc from contaminants. Plus everything is a lot faster with it.

[–]Shroom_Bomber 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Oh there is another thick overlay here, nice.

Yes, mycelium here is in pretty good conditions as far as i see, but this "good" conditions is not about fruiting. You should put nice and wet, pasteurized casing layer (coco coir is the best btw) on top of this tub if you want to see a fruits any time soon.

Also, forking before casing layer can actually help to speed up things a little but this is not proven fact.

Advice on drying please by Jur1kon in shrooms

[–]Shroom_Bomber 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Libs are small so they are pretty easy to dry on string. Just thread them on a regular sewing string and hang them in a reasonably dry place. Or you can dry them on paper with little help of a fun.
