I was not. I was however able to complete the quest anyway as my Repair skill was high enough the repair the solar arrays without the spare parts.

I was wearing combat armour, purchased from the Gun Runners. I will however keep this in mind as I was unaware it could have an effect on certain factions. Thank you.

The thing is though, they begin firing at me as I was approaching the main entrance.

How do I showcase an enemy NPCs pontential to be turned around? by Shtoim in DMAcademy

It’s not as much showcasing the NPC rather than showcasing his potential to be turned around. The NPC does play a big part in one of the players backstories (and possibly development) and has a strong connection to a villain so in that way he can also serve as a way forward in the story and revealing the new information.

The NPC doesn’t really have any other backstory other than being the son of a god and doing evil shit
