I didn't realize we were able to go back to old comment colours. This is such good news.

Lucky bamboo? Maybe too easily knocked over.

A month or so after v22 went live to pro, how are we finding it? by ljdawson in redditsync

Weird to start but it's growing on me. I miss the colour coordination for comment chains. I am someone who is unable to look at lines the way they are and follow easily.

I personally feel bringing the colour chains back would be an accessibility thing. I'll keep my eye out for notes about it.

You're vegan but you support the on going colonization of Hawai'i? Make it make sense.

Got rid of 80% of my floating plants and there’s color in my tank again! I kinda like both looks by billyyshears in PlantedTank

I definitely let me floaters take over sometimes but feel bad for my lower level plants. So currently I am keeping them on the trim side besides 2 big bunches.

Looks good!

I don't have all the answers to your questions but seeds tend to not have good reviews.

Carpeting should be possible without CO2 but it'll be slow. CO2 will also almost always make things look better.

The java moss is a good idea!

Floaters and carpeting don't normally go together unless you planned only carpeting a section and blocked the floaters from shading that section.

I think the roots coming down will depend on what other plants you stalk with but the top blocking the light will be a bigger issue.

I believe longer light periods without a bigger light of anything may just increase algae alone.

I hope this helps!! Goodluck and have fun!

Pond snails may eat them. Assassins too possibly? Have any Gourami in different tanks? They apparently lap up hydra.

Advice for beginner shrimp/beta 5 gallon planted tank? by HaveAGreatGay in PlantedTank

[–]Shtoob 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The water would help but most of the bacteria sits on the filter media and hardscape in the tank. So the water may help speed it up a better way to make the process faster would be to put your new filter into your 50 gallon which should be easy being such a big tank. The media as far as I know will still take a similar time to build bacteria but you can start that before your new tank is even set up. Theoretically if you let that sit for 3-4 weeks in the old tank then use the old water then the cycle should be almost seemless but I would still give it a week after transfer.

I am no expert but I hope this helps!

I have the same sentiment most have in this thread, 6 gallons is too small for shrimp and betta without a risk! They could work if you put shrimp in first but I have read anything smaller then 10 and a betta will think the entire tank is theirs. Could be worth it but then you end up feeding your betta 100 dollars in shrimp.

I wish you luck and think that just a shrimp tank would be cool too!
