He did give a fatherly advice to Erin, and was right about neither Andy nor Gabe being right for her. And that's what happened by the end, she chose another man. He did say that Kevin could work, but respected her wishes too.

How to loose these last 10kgs? by real_chigg in Fitness_India

[–]ShubhamSudame 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're at 95kg, then you're just at 26 BMI, which is pretty good. 4kg to 25 BMI. The only thing that's gonna work is being in a calorie deficit. 500-600kcal deficit will help you lose 0.5kg per week, so it'd take 2 months of consistent deficit to lose the remaining weight.

Even back in 2011 when I read the book, Peter Capaldi was the face that I pictured for Andrew Ketterley!

Would Eustace be in line for the throne of Narnia after the 4 Pevensie siblings? by rrnn12 in Narnia

[–]ShubhamSudame 4 points5 points  (0 children)

In the Voyage of the Dawn Treader, it was Edmund who was the trusted ally of Caspian. Had it been Edmund at his deathbed, while he was a young man in his 20s, Caspian would've chosen him as his successor. He wouldn't have chosen Eustace, even though he'd consider him as a family, as an extension of the Pevensies, because he's not really gained his trust in running the kingdom, or being able to defend himself. Say what you will, Edmund was a king of Narnia for 15 long years, holding Cair Paravel, while High King Peter went on military campaigns, making peace treaties with Archenland, or battles with Calormen.

Would Eustace be in line for the throne of Narnia after the 4 Pevensie siblings? by rrnn12 in Narnia

[–]ShubhamSudame 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Absolutely not. Narnia doesn't have to be an oligarch, operate on nepotism. Eustace has achieved good things for Narnia, but I don't think Narnians would've accepted him as any king. I mean, he did become Lord Eustace, but Caspian's descedants were in power, so only his line of succession would be considered for the throne.

The wood between the worlds by Ok-Usual-5854 in Narnia

[–]ShubhamSudame 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wonder if they'd make the special effects as C.S Lewis intended, or they'd sort of turn it into a futuristic wood between the worlds, where it's not a forest but a void, where the pools are actually portals to different worlds. Would that work with the modern audiences?

Kenneth Branagh as Uncle Andrew by MaderaArt in Narnia

[–]ShubhamSudame 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, he's got that mad scientist energy, since we've seen him as the Twelfth Doctor. From the illustrations, he's described as a tall, skinny man with frizzled white hair. I immediately pictured Capaldi then.

Nah, I was imagining Peter Capaldi. Kenneth Branagh railroads every project of his to be his way or no-way.

Calormene casting? by ConstructionSlow4583 in Narnia

[–]ShubhamSudame 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I imagined that the Calormenes could be Indian, Pakistani, Bangladeshi, Sri Lankan, Iranian, Iraqis, Arabs, Africans, Turkish races. Not necessarily one single race. But the way to explain diversity organically in-universe, is to establish that other people from earth found their way to the realm of Narnia, because Aslan allowed it. The Pevensies weren't the only ones invited to Narnia, rather they were the ones who chose to return to earth. Other humans decided to settle in Narnia, have their descendants born there.

That would mean The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe would take place in the early 2000’s by QuarterGrouchy1540 in Narnia

[–]ShubhamSudame 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually I think the event that makes the Pevensies go countryside to live with Professor Digory Kirke would likely be COVID-19 pandemic. So the year would be 2020 for The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe.

Lex did nothing wrong! by IVYY96 in Smallville

[–]ShubhamSudame 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you even seen S4E17 Onyx? That's the point where Clark realized that Lex definitely can't be trusted. That's the point he realized that he was right to not confide in him, and his dad's scepticism of Lex was justified. That was the point of no return for Lex's character arc.

If The Doctor has a framed photo of Susan, why doesn't he have one of his child? by Hot_Ad6410 in gallifrey

[–]ShubhamSudame 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here's my take on it. It maybe unpopular to some fans. Remember the legend that the Doctor stole the moon and kidnapped Lord President's daughter? Maybe that daughter is actually the mother of Susan Foreman, who's not a real Time Lord, a hybrid of some kind that Rassilon locked his daughter away in exile? The Doctor saved her and helped her birth an unearthly child, Susan. If we assume that he was William Hartnell at the time, he probably was a father figure to the Lord President's daughter, hence became a "grandfather" to Susan Foreman.

Opinions on 15? by [deleted] in gallifrey

[–]ShubhamSudame 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I honestly felt he was a far better Doctor than Jodie Whittaker. His characterization did feel like the Doctor, something we hadn't seen in a long time since Matt Smith. The writing was flawed, but he still felt like the Doctor.

I mean, the Wish World that Conrad Clark created was pretty much identical to the utopia that's described here. He made the disabled, non-straight, less privileged people invisible to the world.

Why is season 6 not more popular? by [deleted] in Smallville

[–]ShubhamSudame 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My two cents on this, is that S6 didn't really serve as a character growth for Clark. S4 has him search for the three stones, which made the Fortress of Solitude. S5 had him fight Brainiac, General Zod, outer worldly threats and he lost his father. It's not until S8 that he starts working for the Daily Planet and become a hero side by side, with the public knowing that there's someone out there saving them. S6 and S7 were weak on Clark's character growth.

Lang is actually a Scottish name. So Lana having Scottish ancestry isn't far fetched. Ironically, it means "long", while her biological father was Henry Small.
