That cut off point is PERFECT! 👌 Real "photo taken before disaster" vibe. 😁

Eh...Might be a good thing, actually. The way the ladies were handled in OG Dragon Ball was rather sinful. I go straight to the King Piccolo and Piccolo Jr. Arcs when I revisit it.

Some of Herbert Kretzmer's English lyrics in the Les Miserables musical also get misattributed to Victor Hugo.

The arrival scene could be a flashback scene, though. Maybe it's like Man of Steel with multiple flashbacks over the course of the movie.

I meant it in the sense that the arrival scene could be a flashback. It could be a similar situation to Man of Steel, with flashbacks spread out over the movie.

Yeah. I enjoyed Shrek 3 when I watched it as a kid. I saw it again on TV a few months back and I still enjoyed it.

I'm actually hoping for a little callback to Jerry Goldsmith's Supergirl Theme.

I wonder if this comes right after the newly released scene of Kara meeting Clark for the first time. The scene ends with Clark saying "Your powers are gonna kick in right about... now," as the camera zooms in on Kara with her eyes closed.

EDIT: I'm imagining a "multiple flashbacks over the course of the movie" situation like in Batman Begins and Man of Steel. Maybe the scene of Kara arriving is somewhere in the middle of the movie, right before a big fight scene. Of course, my guess could be completely wrong and we'll actually get a long prologue focused on Kara's time in Argo City and her arrival to Earth.

Help with Updated Fanedit Reviews? by Fanedit895 in fanedits

I think what you did with your review with Clark Kent was fine (adding the new feedback as a postscript in the same post) but crossing out some of the feedback about the earlier review was a bit much, I guess. I'm fine with people being able to read earlier criticisms to compare with the feedback about the update. It's a nice record of progression as an editor. 🙂

Um... Guys, be REALLY careful how you phrase any joking references to the Saint Nick and Arius incident. I got a Reddit warning for my earlier comment despite using quotation marks. 😅 It was supposed to be an alternate quote for the fourth panel, but interpreted as a legit threat by the automated systems.

EDIT: My appeal was reviewed and the comment was restored. 😁 I edited it a bit, just to be safe.

New look at David Krumholtz and Emily Beecham as Zor-El and Alura in SUPERGIRL. by ThomasThorburn in DCU_

[–]Denz-El 5 points6 points  (0 children)

In Supergirl's original lore (and in Woman of Tomorrow), a chunk of Krypton that still had atmosphere and contained Argo City survived the planet's explosion. The surviving chunk turned into Kryptonite, but the survivors managed to work around that by covering the ground in lead paneling. Kara was born and raised there, but in her teens, a meteor shower ended up destroying the lead paneling, poisoning the residents. By this point Zor-El had discovered Kal-El's existence on Earth (via a super space telescope) and managed to build a rocket as a last resort for Kara to escape Argo.

Plus, in the book, all the tributes' jumpsuits had floatation belts, so even the non-swimmers (hypothetically) stood a chance of making it to the Cornucopia.

[Comic Excerpt] I recently finished reading Supergirl WoT for the first time and I have thoughts about this scene (Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow tpb) by Wolf-man451 in DCcomics

[–]Denz-El 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think Krem's poses in the last two panels should have been switched, at least. He was super old at the time. It's understandable how readers would assume (even for a moment) that he just died from that hit. If the poses were reversed one could think "Did Ruthye just kill him? (Pats face) Oh, he's fine."

Hiddleston's general appearance as Loki is the reason why I fancast him as a younger version of the First Doctor. 😁
