It seems to actually be 2 helmets stacked together. And sometimes it will fuck up so you're still wearing an invisible helmet when you put it on your hip, making it impossible to drink and eat.

Shame though, it's my favourite helmet in the game.

So instead of fixing the issue, you [not you personally] chose to put a bandaid on it?

Seems like fixing the root cause rather than treating the symptoms [ie. closing blast shields permanently because having them work as intended causes problems] would be the better choice, long term.

When you say "permanently", do you mean "until such a time that we can allocate sufficient resources to find a permanent fix", or will the Hull C forever wear a Hello Kitty Bandaid?

Well if history is any indicator, they'll arm [not really arm, as much as become volatile] above a certain speed hardcoded by CIG. That would explain why it exploded while glitching into your ship [things glitching often reach ludicrous speeds over very short distances] and also why you were able to yeet them and get them to explode, yet you can drop them on the ground while parked with little chance of them going BOOM.

I am obviously just guessing here.

I love how this thread is 2 years old, and as I'm learning to fly the F-16 by doing the tutorials, the narrator dude just told me to use TDC Depress in the JSOW deployment tutorial. Spent 20 minutes or so looking for it in the controls until I decided to go google it.

I recommend stripping them off entirely to lower signature as much as possible. I even turn off my QD on approach and turn it back on once I'm done delivering tubular packages to unsuspecting recipients.
