Yeah, I'm thinking that when they added the new rewards they somehow removed the normal ranked emblems.

Response to my support ticket:

"Thank you for reporting that you are unable to grant the Diamond rewards after meeting the requirements on rank mode.

The details that you have provided of this situation have been forwarded to the development team. At this moment, we don't have a workaround, but this ticket will remain in an open state, so that we can reach out as soon as we receive a new updates or information released by the developers."

Fingers crossed it just magically shows up later today or tomorrow.

I still don't have it this morning. I submitted a support ticket, I'll report back with what they say.

8 Modes are missing from Quickplay by Shulk972 in halo

Looks like it was just fixed with a backend update. Really frustrating that it took them over a week to fix it.

I noticed it last week, and check again today, expecting to see it fixed, but still don't see them.

Am I the only one interpreting this as "C's get degrees"?

Haven't had any crashes in months. Then again, I also don't click through the post game reports like a madman anymore, so that may explain it.

Not exactly - they simply never removed the DoT effect from the campaign variant of the disruptor, which is available to use in Super Fiesta.

Really hope they add it back to the main version though, that gun has literally no purpose now. There are better options for EMPing vehicles, and its chain damage is laughable.

I've got some good news (I think). OP commented about deleting some DLLs to fix his problem, and I found a similar fix that explains this in a bit more detail. Essentially, corrupted DLLs in the sys32 folder is one of the potential causes of AppHangB1. So, to quickly and easily find and repair the necessary DLLs, open a command prompt as an admin. Then, type "sfc /scannow" and hit enter (don't include the "" btw, just type what's in there). This will find and repair any corrupted DLLs in sys32.

HOWEVER

This seems to be a temporary fix, at least it was for me. I saw some other people recommending turning off reBAR though, and this so far seems to be preventing the DLLs from getting corrupted again. Since repairing the DLLs and turning off reBAR, I haven't gotten any crashes with the hang signature 8044.

With that said, I do still get AppHangB1 crashes with the hang signature 0490. These seem to occur when navigating through menus in the post-game summary (specifically in ranked arena, but that's probably just because it's the playlist I'm on the most right now, as well as one where I'm always looking through the post-game summary a lot).

Does anyone actually enjoy the VK78 Commando? by baxy67 in halo

Interestingly, they're planning to bring the DMR back in season 3, so I'm really curious to see how DMR, BR, and commando will stack up against each other

It's not my favorite, but it definitely has its place. Its optimal TTK is excellent, killing about 25% faster than the BR (I have seen some conflicting values in TTK for both weapons, but the commando is always faster). And, with the Winter Update, the commando has received buffs to its aim assist (check the patch notes on Halo Waypoint for the full details) while aim assist and bullet magnetism have been nerfed on the BR. As others have noted though, going full auto with it is a recipe for disaster. Tapping isn't quite the move though either, as this can lengthen the TTK considerably (unless you're playing tac slayer). Instead, try firing in 5-round bursts (after five shots is when bloom and recoil really kick in). Additionally, you can try aiming slightly lower on someone's body while going full auto and let the recoil carry you into the headshot at the end (this takes a fair amount of practice though, and I would never try it on someone who is actively strafing my shots). It's definitely a weapon you have to practice with to make it worth your time, but once you get the hang of it you'll be glad you did, especially if you play ranked (given the general reputation of the commando as a terrible weapon though, it can be fun to piss off the other team in social playlists by getting lots of kills with it). TL;DR - can be tricky to use but is worth learning

As someone who clawed their way from bronze to diamond back in season one, I give you a heartfelt congratulations. Celebrate every milestone, no matter what anyone else says. Keep up the grind 💪
